The scruffy Rania looks friendly and interested into the camera at the photo session. She seems to know that her future is at stake and shows her best side – alert and highly people-oriented – because Rania is desperately seeking a nice home with loving people. And in this search, we would like to be of help. Rania's life has not been under a good star so far. She was found on the streets of Romania, exposed to the dangers and hardships of a street dog's life. But then the pretty scruffy female dog was caught and brought to the Public Shelter in Baia Mare. Here she is temporarily safe, receiving regular food and a dry place to sleep. However, the shelter is not a nice place; she has to live behind bars with no attention or a comfortable place to sleep. But of course, the highly clever and lively female dog does not settle for that. She desires mental stimulation, enrichment, affection, and a whole lot of love. And we hope to find animal-loving people quickly who would give Rania all that and show her how varied and fulfilling a happy life as a house dog can be. Of course, it would be ideal to find a forever home for Rania. But even a foster home would greatly ease the path to a good dog life for the people-loving female dog. Rania is approximately 6 years old and, with a shoulder height of about 55 to 60 cm, still falls into the medium to large female dog category. She has gray, scruffy fur, a beautiful and expressive face, and large, triangular standing ears. With her brown eyes and dark eyelashes, she looks incredibly sweet and looks straight into our hearts. The beautiful female dog has a sensitive and intelligent character and wishes for a good future by the side of friendly and animal-loving people. She gets along well with other dogs. We assume that Rania has not yet experienced life as a house dog and still has to learn the rules for living with people. But the friendly and attentive female dog loves people and always wants to do everything right. She will certainly try to learn everything new quickly. From her appearance, Rania could be a mix of a pointing dog. Therefore, her adopters should familiarize themselves with the special characteristics of these breeds and be able to offer consistent but loving guidance. Head and nose work could bring her a lot of joy and help develop her intelligence. After the initial adjustment period, we would recommend Rania's new people to attend positive training classes to work together with the intelligent female dog on training and the sense of belonging. Seit über einem Jahr wartet sie nun schon im Public Shelter in Baia Mare darauf, endlich gesehen zu werden. Dabei bringt sie alles mit, was man sich von einer treuen Begleiterin wünschen kann: Sie ist freundlich, menschenbezogen, klug und voller Lebensfreude. Ihre Geschichte begann alles andere als glücklich. Rania wurde alleine auf den Straßen Rumäniens aufgefunden und musste sich dort vermutlich lange Zeit selbst durchschlagen. Heute ist sie zwar in Sicherheit, doch das Leben hinter Gittern wird einer aktiven und intelligenten Hündin wie ihr nicht gerecht. Sie sehnt sich nach Beschäftigung, Nähe und Menschen, die sie als Familienmitglied aufnehmen. Rania ist etwa 6 Jahre alt und misst rund 55 bis 60 cm Schulterhöhe. Mit ihrem grauen, strubbeligen Fell, den großen aufmerksamen Stehohren und ihrem ausdrucksstarken Gesicht ist sie eine ausgesprochen hübsche Hündin. Besonders ihre warmen braunen Augen mit den dunklen Wimpern verleihen ihr einen weichen, freundlichen Ausdruck, der sofort ins Herz trifft. Menschen gegenüber zeigt sich Rania offen, freundlich und sehr zugewandt. Sie freut sich über Aufmerksamkeit und genießt jede Form von Zuwendung. Man merkt schnell, dass sie gerne mit ihren Menschen zusammenarbeitet und gefallen möchte. Auch mit anderen Hunden ist sie verträglich und zeigt sich sozial. Rania wirkt intelligent, aufmerksam und lernfreudig. Vermutlich kennt sie das Leben in einem Haushalt bisher nicht und muss Dinge wie Stubenreinheit, Leinenführigkeit und feste Alltagsabläufe erst noch kennenlernen. Mit ihrer kooperativen Art bringt sie jedoch beste Voraussetzungen mit, um sich schnell in ihr neues Leben einzufinden. Aufgrund ihres Erscheinungsbildes könnten Hütehund-Anteile in ihr stecken. Hütehunde gelten als besonders intelligent, aufmerksam und arbeitsfreudig. Sie möchten nicht nur körperlich ausgelastet werden, sondern brauchen auch Aufgaben für den Kopf. Nasenarbeit, Suchspiele und gemeinsames Training könnten Rania viel Freude bereiten. Eine positiv arbeitende Hundeschule würde sie nach der Eingewöhnung sicher gerne besuchen und könnte dabei helfen, die Bindung zu ihren Menschen weiter zu stärken. Für Rania wünschen wir uns liebevolle und aktive Menschen, die Freude daran haben, Zeit mit ihrem Hund zu verbringen und ihr die Aufmerksamkeit schenken, nach der sie sich so sehr sehnt. Nach über einem Jahr im Shelter soll nun endlich ihr Leben beginnen. Auch über eine Pflegestelle würden wir uns sehr freuen, da sie Rania den Weg in ein neues Leben erheblich erleichtern könnte.
