I am Rocky, a proud dog with character but also a lot of potential. That’s me: I was secured for animal welfare reasons and now hope for a wonderful new life in a dog-experienced home. In me, there probably lies a herding dog, and that’s obvious: I don’t exactly love strangers at first and I take good care of my food and home. If you pressure me, I can also be quite clear – that’s why I currently wear a muzzle, which I accept reliably. But I’m not just “the watchful one.” If you give me time, I open up and show my playful, loving side. With my trusted people, I tend to avoid conflicts and am simply happy to be there – adventures included. I can already do basic commands and being alone is no problem for me. With other dogs, it works out well based on compatibility; I often find female dogs really good. I wish for a sovereign, experienced home with clear rules. A house with a garden would be perfect, and children shouldn’t live in my new home. To get to know me, please plan several visits to this breed at our shelter.

Ich bin Rocky ein stolzer Hund mit Charakter, aber auch viel Potenzial. Das bin ich: Ich wurde aus Tierschutzgründen sichergestellt und hoffe jetzt auf ein tolles neues Leben in einem hundeerfahrenen Zuhause. In mir steckt vermutlich ein Herdenschutzhund, und das merkt man natürlich: Fremde finde ich erstmal nicht so toll und ich passe gut auf mein Futter und mein Zuhause auf. Wenn man mich bedrängt, kann ich auch mal deutlich werden – deshalb trage ich aktuell einen Maulkorb, den ich aber zuverlässig akzeptiere. Ich bin aber nicht nur „der Aufpasser“. Wenn du mir Zeit gibst, öffne ich mich und zeige meine lustige, liebevolle Seite. Mit meinen Bezugspersonen gehe ich Konflikten eher aus dem Weg und bin einfach gern dabei – Abenteuer inklusive. Grundkommandos kann ich schon und auch allein bleiben ist für mich kein Problem. Mit anderen Hunden klappt es nach Sympathie; Hündinnen finde ich oft richtig gut. Ich wünsche mir ein souveränes, erfahrenes Zuhause mit klaren Regeln. Ein Haus mit Garten wäre perfekt, Kinder sollten nicht in meinem neuen Zuhause leben.
