Selenka is a female dog, approximately 1.5–2 years old, who arrived at the shelter in Reguły together with another dog. She’s a calm, gentle, and very friendly pup who eagerly seeks human contact. She’s a delicate girl with a well-balanced temperament. She enjoys being close to people, calmly tolerates petting, and easily allows grooming procedures to be performed on her. She cooperates well with her caregiver and poses no difficulties during daily care routines. Selenka handles loneliness extremely poorly. When left alone, she whimpers and clearly seeks the presence of a human or another canine companion. This may stem from the fact that she arrived at the shelter together with another dog and wasn’t previously accustomed to being left alone. In her new home, she might need time, patience, and gradual training to learn how to cope with being by herself. She gets along well with other dogs, so a home with a resident canine companion could provide her with great support. She’s looking for responsible guardians who will give her a sense of security and show her that she’ll never be abandoned again.
