The 2018-born Husky male dog Spot came to us at the animal shelter Ludwigshafen e.V. due to poor living conditions. Now, from here, he is looking for a loving home with people who have experience with Huskies or northern breeds and appreciate his breed-specific characteristics. Spot shows himself as a typical representative of his breed – active, intelligent, and independent, yet very people-oriented once trust has been established. He is notably better on a leash than many of his fellow animals and reliably runs with the dog group. He handles dog encounters with confidence and shows social compatibility as long as the chemistry is right. In his new home, there should be no small children, as Spot tries to assert his status in certain situations, especially around food. This behavior is easily readable and can be well managed with clear communication and consistent leadership. We are convinced that Spot, once he has gained trust, will be an exceptionally loyal and reliable companion. People who enjoy clear structure, movement, and working together with a strong-willed dog will find in Spot a wonderful partner who will stand by them through thick and thin. Der 2018 geborene Husky-Rüde Spot kam aufgrund schlechter Haltungsbedingungen zu uns ins Tierheim Ludwigshafen e.V. Nun sucht er von hier aus ein liebevolles Zuhause bei Menschen, die Erfahrung mit Huskys oder nordischen Rassen haben und seine rassetypischen Eigenschaften zu schätzen wissen. Spot zeigt sich bei uns als typischer Vertreter seiner Rasse – aktiv, intelligent und eigenständig, dabei aber sehr menschenbezogen, wenn Vertrauen entstanden ist. Er ist deutlich besser leinenführig als viele seiner Artgenossen und läuft auch in der Hundegruppe zuverlässig mit. Hundebegegnungen meistert er souverän und zeigt sich sozial verträglich, solange die Chemie stimmt. Im neuen Zuhause sollten keine kleinen Kinder leben, da Spot in bestimmten Situationen – vor allem rund ums Futter – versucht, seinen Status zu behaupten. Dieses Verhalten ist gut lesbar und lässt sich mit klarer Kommunikation und konsequenter Führung gut steuern. Wir sind überzeugt, dass Spot, wenn er Vertrauen gefasst hat, ein überaus loyaler und verlässlicher Begleiter sein wird.
