Ela consegue dizer exatamente de onde vem um som, onde estás na sala e o que está acontecendo ao seu redor apenas usando seus outros sentidos. E ela faz isso tão bem que você honestamente começa a pensar que ela consegue enxergar. Isso é verdade para a maioria dos gatos, especialmente aqueles nascidos cegos. Você não sente pena deles, e eles não precisam de ajuda para se locomover pela casa. Na verdade, eles frequentemente parecem até mais capazes do que os gatos videntes, porque aprendem a usar seus outros sentidos ao máximo. Observá-los aproveitar um mundo que eles não conseguem ver, mas que experimentam tão plenamente, é algo que você nunca se cansa. Sue é uma dessas gatas. Ela escala, brinca, persegue brinquedos, parece como se pudesse enxergar e como se nada estivesse faltando. Ela chegou ao abrigo com sua irmã Muffin, e seus olhos estavam em tão mau estado que não puderam ser salvos. Então, ambos foram removidos para aliviar seu sofrimento constante e infecções. Na verdade, é bastante engraçado assistir ela brincar com os outros gatos. Quando eles entram em aquelas pequenas lutas fictícias, Sue geralmente acaba vencendo. Sue será uma companheira maravilhosa. Afectuosa, divertida e cheia de vida. Assim que ela se acostumar com sua casa e mapear seu espaço, ela viverá uma vida feliz com a família que a escolher.

You know what? She may not see anything, but Sue truly doesn’t mind and that’s a fact. She can tell exactly where a sound is coming from, where you are in the room, and what’s happening around her just by using her other senses. And she does it so well that you honestly start to think she can see. This is true for most cats, especially those born blind. You don’t feel sorry for them, and they don’t need help getting around the house. In fact, they often seem even more capable than sighted cats, because they learn to use their other senses to the fullest. Watching them enjoy a world they can’t see, yet experience so fully, is something you never get tired of. Sue is one of those cats. She climbs, plays, chases toys, it’s as if she can see and as if nothing is missing. She came to the shelter with her sister Muffin, and her eyes were in such a bad condition that they couldn’t be saved. So both were removed to free her from constant pain and infections. It’s actually quite funny to watch her play with the other cats. When they get into those mock little fights, Sue often ends up winning. Sue will make a wonderful companion. Affectionate, playful, and full of life. Once she settles into her home and maps out her space, she will live a happy life with the family who chooses her.
