Tia is a super sweet, affectionate girl who absolutely loves her cuddles. She’s happiest when she can be part of the action, whether that’s snuggling up with her people, playing with her favourite toys, or getting out and about to explore the world. One of Tia’s favourite things is using her nose! She loves investigating everything around her and would make a fantastic adventure buddy for someone who enjoys getting out and exploring. She’s looking for an active home where she can enjoy plenty of walks, sniffing opportunities and adventures to keep her body and mind happy. Her enthusiasm for following her nose can sometimes mean she pulls on the lead, so her new family should be prepared to continue working on her loose-lead walking. Tia loves making doggie friends and could potentially live with another dog, provided they are introduced carefully and positively. She really enjoys canine company and would love a social life filled with appropriate doggy friends. Tia is crate trained, which is a great skill and gives her a safe, familiar space of her own. She can find being left alone difficult, so she is looking for someone who is around most of the time and, importantly, is willing to patiently work with her on learning that being alone for short periods can be safe and positive. Her crate can be a really useful tool as she learns this skill at her own pace. Tia is also a real foodie! She will do almost anything for a tasty treat, including putting on her very best begging face. However, she has previously found it difficult when people try to take particularly tasty treats away from her. Because of this, her new family will need to be sensible about what she is given and only offer her things that she is allowed to keep, rather than trying to remove valuable treats from her. Her love of food could also be a great asset when using positive, reward-based training. Above all, Tia is a loving, fun and adventurous girl who wants to find people who will understand her needs, give her time to settle and continue helping her build confidence and good habits. - A loving home where someone is around most of the time.- A family willing to patiently work on her alone-time skills.- Potentially a compatible doggy companion following positive introductions.- An active home that will give her plenty of opportunities to explore and sniff.- Lots of cuddles, playtime and enrichment.- A family who understands her food-related boundaries and will manage treats responsibly.- Someone committed to helping Tia thrive and giving her the happy life she deserves.
