Vitani is a middle-aged female dog, of the German Shepherd type, whose entire demeanor shows just how much she craves human companionship. She responds to calls, wags her tail joyfully, and absolutely loves being petted. Within the shelter grounds, she’s highly excitable; the barking of other dogs stresses her out, causing her to pull on the leash. However, once outside the shelter walls, she walks beautifully on a loose leash, stays focused on her handler, and eagerly cooperates. For treats, she’ll perform “sit” or “give paw,” and in the exercise yard, she sniffs around, runs around, and spends quality time with people. She’s very interested in seeing other dogs, yet during walks outside the shelter, she can relax and focus on sniffing instead. Unfortunately, inside the shelter, potty training doesn’t go smoothly for her—she gets extremely agitated at the sight of other dogs and pulls hard on the leash. She’s a dog who has spent a long time in the shelter, which hasn’t been good for her. With more frequent human interaction, she can truly be herself; a confined kennel and walks with volunteers just aren’t enough. She dreams of having an owner with whom she could take long walks, spend quality time together, and simply be close.

Vitani to suczka w średnim wieku, w typie owczarka niemieckiego, która całym swoim zachowaniem pokazuje, jak bardzo potrzebuje bliskości człowieka. Reaguje na zawołanie, z radością macha ogonem i uwielbia być głaskana. Na terenie schroniska jest mocno pobudzona, szczekanie innych psów stresuje ją, przez co ciągnie na smyczy. Jednak poza murami schroniska potrafi iść pięknie na luźnej smyczy, skupia się na przewodniku i chętnie współpracuje. Za smaczki wykona „siad” czy „podaj łapę”, a na wybiegu powęszy, pobiega i spędzi czas przy człowieku. Widok innych psów bardzo ja interesuje, jednak na spacerze po za schroniskiem potrafi odpuścić i zająć się węszeniem. Za to na terenie schroniska niestety odpuszczanie nie idzie jej za cudownie, bardzo się pobudza na widok psów i ciągnie. To suczka, która długo przebywa w schronisku, co nie wpływa na nią dobrze. Przy większym kontakcie z człowiekiem potrafi być sobą, a zamknięty boks i spacery z wolontariuszami to za mało. Marzy o opiekunie, z którym mogłaby chodzić na długie spacery, spędzać czas i po prostu być blisko.
