March 2025 Beautiful Willow is a 7 year old smaller girl of around 18kg who would like a home where she would be living inside instead of in her kennel she would also prefer not to be surrounded by the other dogs and would benefit from being an only dog or could live happily with a male dog. Willow is great with her owners and their children although can still be bouncy. She’s aloof with new people and especially men at home but ignores when out. She’s fine once she knows new people. She loves her walks and has excellent recall when out. One of her favourite things is sunbathing she will snooze for ages in any patch of sunshine. Willow also loves her food and is happy to recall for treats. When in the home she is clean as long as she’s let out regularly, she’s been left crated and was fine. In the kennel she’s been left for several hours with the other dogs. Out on walks Willow tends to ignore other dogs when off lead, at home she prefers male dogs, she’s not fussed on females. She’s also been used to being walked by different people. Willow has been trained as a gundog and will hunt, point and retrieve, she also enjoys retrieving dummies and balls. Willow will chase cats given a chance, she fine around livestock and sheep, but her owners believe she could chase chickens and ducks. She hasn’t lived in a home with children but has been fine with the families children around the kennels and her owners think she could live with older dog savvy children. Willow isn’t neutered yet and this will be done by our charity at the kindest time to her. She travels very well and is happy to go off on any adventures, if you feel you could offer this beauty a happy retirement please contact us.
