Zinc é uma senhora realmente doce e gentil que veio a nós de um criador. Infelizmente, Zinc chegou a nós com visão muito limitada, pois tinha catarata no olho esquerdo e não via nada no olho direito. Após visitar um especialista, Zinc passou por cirurgia de catarata e ter visão novamente fez uma grande diferença na sua vida. Embora ela sempre tenha sido uma pequena cãoca feliz, com cauda abanando, mesmo sem visão, ela agora é muito mais confiante e curiosa sobre o mundo ao seu redor, explorando felizmente seu ambiente, conhecendo pessoas e outros cães, e até aproveitando caminhadas curtas na praia com sua família de acolhimento e seu cão. Zinc já teve anteriormente uma hérnia abdominal corrigida com sucesso e teve dois dentes extraídos. Ela tem poucos dentes restantes e, portanto, pode se beneficiar de uma dieta mais mole, dependendo de sua comodidade ao comer. Ela também recebeu tratamento anteriormente para pele coçante, que agora melhorou muito, sua pele está em excelente condição e seu pelo está suave e brilhante. Zinc está em uma casa de acolhimento amorosa onde se adaptou muito bem. Apesar de nunca ter vivido em uma casa antes de chegar a nós, Zinc se adaptou à vida em casa como um pato à água e permanece limpa durante o dia e à noite com idas regulares ao jardim. Segundo sua "mamãe" de acolhimento, Zinc adora explorar e participar da vida diária. Ela é muito motivada por comida e ficará feliz supervisionando qualquer atividade na cozinha na esperança de algo saboroso aparecer. Na verdade, ela ama comida e petiscos, qualquer coisa comestível! Ela também gosta de andar pela cerca, vigiando quem está fazendo jardinagem, e ocasionalmente corre em ziguezague pela casa ou jardim, agindo mais como um filhote do que um cão idoso. Zinc se dá muito bem com outros cães e seria mais feliz vivendo com companheiros que aceitem outros cães, de qualquer tamanho ou raça. Ela gosta de conhecer outros cães fora de casa e está confortável compartilhando seu espaço, desde que sejam gentis e tolerantes. Além de comida, o absoluto favorito de Zinc é contato humano. Ela busca ativamente abraços e lhe dirá que quer ser levantada, apertando gentilmente suas pernas. Ela adora se juntar às pessoas no sofá à noite e aceita abraços de visitantes também. Zinc é muito fácil de lidar e verdadeiramente não tem um único osso mau em seu corpo, todos que a conhecem se apaixonam por ela. Zinc é uma alma gentil e amorosa que procura um lar tranquilo e silencioso onde possa aproveitar seus anos dourados cercada de amor, conforto e carinho. Enquanto ela é um cão mais velho, ela agora tem uma nova vida maravilhosa e sua cauda raramente para de abanar. Quem estiver considerando adotar Zinc deve estar preparado para continuar o uso de colírios nos olhos e comparecer a consultas periódicas com um especialista em olhos para monitorar e proteger seu olho restante. Por favor, note que esse olho não será coberto por seguro. Zinc será uma companheira dedicada e afetuosa para alguém com coração grande e um lar amoroso. Zinc is a truly sweet and gentle older lady who came to us from a breeder. Sadly, Zinc arrived to us with very limited vision as she had cataracts in her left eye and no sight in her right eye. After visiting a specialist, Zinc underwent cataract surgery, and having some sight again has made a wonderful difference to her life. While she was always a happy, waggy-tailed little dog even without vision, she is now much more confident and curious about the world around her, happily exploring her surroundings, meeting new people and dogs, and even enjoying short walks along the beach with her foster family and their dog. Zinc has previously had an abdominal hernia successfully repaired and has had two teeth extracted. She has very few teeth remaining and therefore may benefit from a softer diet depending on her comfort when eating. She also previously received treatment for itchy skin, which has now improved greatly, her skin is in very good condition and her coat is now soft and shiny. Zinc is in a loving foster home where she has settled in beautifully. Despite having never lived in a home before arriving with us, Zinc took to home life like a duck to water and has remained clean both day and night with regular trips into the garden. According to her foster mummy, Zinc absolutely loves exploring and being involved in daily life. She is very food-motivated and will happily supervise any activity in the kitchen in the hope that something tasty might appear. In fact, she loves food and treats, really anything edible! She also enjoys pottering around the garden, keeping an eye on anyone doing the gardening, and will occasionally burst into playful zoomies around the house or garden, acting more like a puppy than a senior dog. Zinc gets on very well with other dogs and would be happiest living with dog-friendly companions of any size or breed. She enjoys meeting other dogs out and about and is comfortable sharing her space, as long as they are kind and tolerant. Other than food, Zinc’s absolute favourite thing is human contact. She actively seeks out cuddles and will let you know she wants to be picked up by gently pawing at your legs. She loves joining her people on the sofa in the evenings and happily accepts cuddles from visitors too. Zinc is incredibly easy to handle and truly doesn’t have a bad bone in her body, everyone who meets her falls a little bit in love with her. Zinc is a gentle, loving soul who is looking for a calm and quiet home where she can enjoy her golden years surrounded by love, comfort, and cuddles. Whilst she is an older dog, she now has a wonderful new lease of life and her tail rarely stops wagging. Anyone considering adopting Zinc must be prepared to continue her eye drop routine and attend occasional follow-up appointments with an eye specialist to monitor and protect her remaining eye. Please note that this eye would not be covered by insurance. Zinc will make a devoted and affectionate companion for someone with a big heart and a loving home. This dog can be homed with a resident dog.
