Ада шукає дім. Її з Зарою не єднала кров, та життя посадило їх в одну коробку — буквально. Того дощового червневого дня, серед розмоклого картону і важких крапель, що били по стінках коробки, поруч лежали кошенята різного віку. Старші обіймали молодших, хтось муркотів крізь страх, хтось уже майже не дихав. Ада була найменшою. Маленькою грудочкою тепла, яку ще важко було назвати кішкою — радше пелюсткою, що тільки-но впала з дерева в саме серце бурі. Її врятували.
