Aslan came to us with a history full of gaps in upbringing and with a dog who was handled wisely by the people who took care of him since puppyhood. Because of the lack of clear rules and boundaries, Aslan developed resource guarding, starting from food, through toys, up to space. The residents were unable to implement the advice and recommendations they received from behaviorists. Before coming to the animal shelter, he was briefly under the care of a temporary caregiver who invested time and willingness to work with Aslan. And in such a short period, it seems that he achieved promising results in working on the dog's behavioral issues. This situation shows how intelligent Aslan is. He can focus on an owner who works with him and is active. It is visible how much pleasure cooperation with a human brings him. Due to Aslan's history, we are looking for a home that is aware of the problem of resource guarding and knows how to work with it. In addition to resource guarding, longer work in a new home will be required regarding being left alone at home. From the information we have, we can assume that he struggles with separation anxiety. Aslan needs people (or one person) who will continue the work started, who will use the currently applied training methods, who will be consistent and persistent. People who understand that mutual trust is built gradually and it is continuous work, while also laying the foundation for a strong bond between the dog and the caregiver. And people who have the time available to work on separation anxiety. Aslan lived in urban conditions and this environment is very familiar to him. He is used to the increased traffic and the cacophony of sounds and stimuli. He traveled without problems by public transport as well as by car. We also know that he used grooming services and tolerated them bravely, as well as visits to the veterinarian. In interactions with other dogs, he is very lively and ready to play. If on the other side there is also a well-adjusted companion, then dog games have no end. He has his likes and dislikes, but who among us doesn't? Fortunately, he establishes much more positive relationships. Aslan is certainly not the right choice as a first dog, and he should not go to a home with small children due to resource issues. He does not have to be the only dog, probably it would even be better if he went to a stable dog companion, from whom he would learn the basics of healthy coexistence in the house. And certainly, he would be happier when the person has to leave the house.

Aslan trafił do nas z historią, która jest pełna braków w wychowania i mądrym prowadzeniu psa ze strony ludzi, pod opieką których był od wieku szczenięcego. Z powodu braku jasnych zasad i wyznaczenia granic w Aslanie rozwinęła się obrona zasobów od jedzenia poczynając, przez zabawki, kończąc na przestrzeni. Domownicy nie potrafili wprowadzić porad i wskazówek, które otrzymywali od behawiorystów. Przed schroniskiem był jeszcze przez krótki czas pod opieką tymczasowego opiekuna, który zainwestował czas i chęci w pracę z Aslanem. I na tak krótki okres wydaje się, że uzyskał obiecujące efekty pracy nad problemami behawioralnymi psa. Sytuacja ta pokazuje jak inteligentnym psem jest Aslan. Potrafi być skoncentrowany na opiekunie, który podejmuje z nim pracę i aktywność. Widać jak dużą frajdę mu sprawia współpraca z człowiekiem. Z uwagi na historię Aslana poszukujemy dla niego domu, który jest świadomy problemu obrony zasobów i jak należy z nim pracować. Prócz obrony zasobów dłuższej pracy w nowym domu będzie wymagała kwestia pozostawiania go w domu samego, z posiadanych informacji możemy wnosić, że boryka się z lękiem separacyjnym. Aslan potrzebuję ludzi (lub człowieka) którzy będą kontynuowali rozpoczęta pracę, będą czerpali z aktualnie obowiązujących metod szkoleniowych, będą konsekwentni i wytrwali. Ludzi, którzy rozumieją, że wzajemne zaufanie buduje się stopniowo i jest to stała praca, a jednocześnie podwaliny silnej więzi między psem a opiekunem. Oraz ludzi, którzy mają przestrzeń czasową na pracę z lękiem separacyjnym. Aslan mieszkał w warunkach miejskich i takie otoczenie jest mu dobrze znajome. Wzmożony ruch uliczny czy kakofonia dźwięków i bodźców. Jeździł bez problemu komunikacją miejską jak również samochodem. Wiemy też, że korzystał z usług groomerskich i znosił to dzielnie, tak samo jak wizyty u weterynarza. W kontaktach z innymi psami jest bardzo żywiołowy, skory do zabawy. Jeśli po drugiej stronie ma również dobrze nastawionego kompana to psim harcom nie ma końca. Ma swoje sympatie i antypatie, ale któż z nas nie ma ;) na szczęście nawiązuje o wiele więcej tych pozytywnych relacji. Aslan na pewno nie będzie właściwym wyborem na pierwszego psa, jak również nie powinien trafić do domu z małymi dziećmi z uwagi na zasobowe problemy. Nie musi być psim jedynakiem, prawdopodobnie nawet korzystniej byłoby, gdyby trafił do stabilnego psiego towarzysza, od którego nauczy się zasad zdrowego współżycia w domu. A na pewno raźniej w chwilach, gdy człowiek musi wyjść z domu.
