Like every project tour, a visit to the LIDA shelter in January 2026 was on the agenda. Marco had already warned us that we would again be greeted by some dog moms with their puppies. After getting to know the dog moms Nana and Atena and their puppies, Marco asked for help with another sibling group. The little ones had already caught our attention when we briefly peeked into the individual enclosures in the "Masel" area. Dog mom Pia was found with her six babies in the industrial area of Olbia. She had taken shelter under a discarded small transporter, where one of the employees discovered her and informed the shelter. Capturing the mom was not easy, as she belonged to the shy strays, but in the end, the entire family was secured. We could only catch a brief glimpse of the mom, as she had hidden in the small rear area of the kennel. Whether she will ever be rehomed is questionable. But her children - the two girls Palma and Phoenix, and the four boys Pedro, Pietro, Pluto, and Pompeo - should have the chance to enjoy a good life in a family environment. The little ones are all puppy-like playful and curious. During the photo session, they were a bit quiet – the camera was not entirely to their liking. But they were all very loving and cuddly, and as soon as they were back in their safe kennel, they immediately began playing joyfully around each other. As we are very concerned that the little ones can develop as well as possible, we want to bring them to Germany as soon as the legal requirements allow. Here, they should find their people and their dream homes with a close family connection. February 28, 2026: Palma was allowed to travel to her German foster home. Wie bei jeder Projekttour, so stand auch Anfang Januar 2026 ein Besuch im Rifugio der LIDA auf dem Plan. Marco hatte uns schon vorgewarnt, dass wieder einige Hundemamas mit ihren Kindern auf uns warten würden.Nachdem wir die Hundemamas Nana und Atena mit ihren Kinderchen kennengelernt hatten, bat Marco noch um Hilfe für eine weitere Geschwistergruppe. Die Kleinen waren uns schon aufgefallen, als wir im „Masel“-Bereich kurz in die einzelnen Gehege geschaut hatten.Hundemama Pia war mit ihren sechs Babys im Industriegebiet von Olbia gefunden worden. Sie hatte sich mit ihren Kleinen unter einem ausrangierten Kleintransporter verkrochen, wo sie einer der Mitarbeiter in dem Betrieb dann entdeckte und das Rifugio informierte. Der Mama habhaft zu werden, war nicht ganz einfach, da sie zu den scheuen Streunern gehörte, aber schließlich gelang es, die komplette Familie zu sichern.Wir konnten dann auch nur einen kurzen Blick auf die Mama werden, da sie sich im kleinen hinteren Bereich der Box verkrochen hatte. Ob sie jemals vermittelbar sein wird, ist fraglich.Aber ihre Kinder - es sind die beiden Mädchen Palma und Phoenix und die vier Buben Pedro, Pietro, Pluto und Pompeo - sollen die Chance bekommen, ein gutes Leben in familiärem Umfeld genießen zu dürfen.Die Kleinen sind allesamt welpentypisch verspielt und neugierig. Während der Fotoaktion waren sie etwas still – die war ihnen wohl nicht ganz geheuer. Aber sie waren alle sehr lieb und anschmiegsam und kaum zurück in ihrer sicheren Box, da tobten sie gleich wieder fröhlich umeinander.Da uns sehr am Herzen liegt, dass die Kleinen sich bestmöglich weiterentwickeln können, möchten wir sie so schnell es die gesetzlichen Vorgaben erlauben nach Deutschland holen. Hier sollen sie dann ihre Menschen und ihre Traumzuhause mit engem Familienanschluss finden. 28. Februar 2026:Palma durfte auf ihren deutschen Pflegeplatz reisen.15.
