📍 Current Location: Vienna Pongo is a likely April 2017 born, neutered mixed-breed male dog who was once found straying. Our Hungarian animal welfare partners took him in – and after five years of waiting, he is finally in Vienna. Pongo is an open, cheerful, and all-around lovable good-natured dog. He quickly forms friendships with people and his attentive gaze reveals intelligence and great loyalty. He is enthusiastic about any activity, loves shared mental stimulation, and is delighted by every praise. At home, Pongo is an absolute pleasant roommate: He was house-trained from the start and felt comfortable right away. He prefers snuggling on the sofa and enjoys cuddles. He also handles being alone without a problem – during this time, he sleeps peacefully. Pongo has already learned some basic commands, but often loses interest in training after a while. Outdoors, Pongo is equally uncomplicated: Walks make him very happy, and he felt secure and comfortable from the start. He loves to sniff and explore his surroundings, especially on longer excursions into nature. Both in free run and on a leash, he meets other dogs with friendliness and composure – a true gentleman. As a second dog, he would likely be especially happy with a female dog, but also gets along well with a male dog. He is relaxed around cats and usually shows no interest. With children, Pongo is friendly and gentle and thus makes an excellent family dog. He rides in the car without a problem, while public transportation currently still overloads him a bit.

📍 Aktueller Aufenthaltsort: Wien Pongo ist ein vermutlich im April 2017 geborener, kastrierter Mischlingsrüde, der einst streunend gefunden wurde. Unsere ungarischen Tierschutzpartner nahmen ihn auf – und nach fünf Jahren des Wartens befindet er sich nun endlich in Wien. Pongo ist ein offener, fröhlicher und rundum liebenswerter Gute-Laune-Hund. Er schließt schnell Freundschaft mit Menschen und sein aufmerksamer Blick verrät Intelligenz und große Loyalität. Er ist für jede Aktivität zu begeistern, liebt gemeinsame Beschäftigung und freut sich über jedes Lob. Im Haus ist Pongo ein absolut angenehmer Mitbewohner: Er war von Anfang an stubenrein und hat sich sofort wohlgefühlt. Am liebsten kuschelt er auf dem Sofa und genießt Streicheleinheiten. Auch das Alleinbleiben meistert er problemlos – in dieser Zeit schläft er entspannt. Pongo hat bereits einige Grundkommandos gelernt, verliert jedoch manchmal nach einer Weile das Interesse am Training. Draußen zeigt sich Pongo ebenso unkompliziert: Spaziergänge machen ihm großen Spaß, und er fühlte sich von Beginn an sicher und wohl. Er liebt es, zu schnüffeln und seine Umgebung zu erkunden, besonders bei längeren Ausflügen in die Natur. Sowohl im Freilauf als auch an der Leine begegnet er anderen Hunden stets freundlich und gelassen – ein echter Gentleman. Als Zweithund würde er sich vermutlich über eine Hündin besonders freuen, kommt aber auch mit einem Rüden gut zurecht. Katzen gegenüber ist er entspannt und zeigt meist kein Interesse. Mit Kindern ist Pongo freundlich und sanft und eignet sich daher sehr gut als Familienhund. Im Auto fährt er problemlos mit, während ihn öffentliche Verkehrsmittel aktuell noch etwas überfordern.
