Princesse arrived at the shelter for the first time because she was living in a van and did not get along with the other dogs in the household, a very difficult situation for her. She was then adopted, but unfortunately came back because she does not know how to handle loneliness. She is not housebroken and will need gradual and gentle training to gain this independence. Princesse has no formal training, but she is an extraordinarily affectionate dog: very close to humans, especially children, with whom she had a precise routine in her previous family, a bit like the St. Bernard Nana from Peter Pan. Princesse is affectionate, playful, and food-motivated, and can also play the role of guardian of the home and family. She has a lot of strength, so someone who can hold her and channel her energy will be needed. When she meets other dogs, she can bark loudly, sometimes out of curiosity, sometimes out of excitement. This is probably due to a lack of social skills, so interactions with other dogs will need to be tested at the shelter, and patient work will be necessary to help her manage these situations. Despite these challenges, Princesse does not destroy things and does not attempt to escape. She is looking for a family ready to offer her gentleness, patience, and structure, so that she can finally thrive and discover the life she deserves.

Princesse est arrivée pour la première fois au refuge car elle vivait dans une camionnette et ne s’entendait pas avec les autres chiens du foyer, une situation très difficile pour elle. Elle a ensuite été adoptée, mais est malheureusement revenue car elle ne sait pas gérer la solitude. Elle n’est pas propre et aura besoin d’un apprentissage progressif et doux pour acquérir cette autonomie. Princesse n’a pas de bases d’éducation formelles, mais c’est une chienne extraordinairement attachante : très proche des humains, particulièrement des enfants avec qui elle avait une routine précise dans sa précédente famille, un peu comme la St-Bernard Nana de Peter Pan. Princesse est affectueuse, joueuse et gourmande, et peut également jouer le rôle de gardienne de la maison et de sa famille. Elle possède beaucoup de force, il faudra donc une personne capable de la tenir et de canaliser son énergie. Lorsqu’elle croise d’autres chiens, elle peut aboyer fort, parfois par curiosité, parfois par excitation. Il s’agit probablement d’un manque de connaissances sociales, donc les ententes avec les chiens seront à tester au refuge, et un travail patient sera nécessaire pour l’aider à gérer ces situations. Malgré ces défis, Princesse ne détruit pas et ne fugue pas. Elle recherche une famille prête à lui offrir douceur, patience et structure, afin qu’elle puisse enfin s’épanouir pleinement et découvrir la vie qu’elle mérite.
