Sunny is a young puppy who, despite her difficult start in life, looks out at the world with curiosity and openness. She was abandoned and found on a landfill. Fortunately, she was rescued from there—a discovery highlighting just how urgently she needed protection. Today, Sunny is safe and finally getting the chance to settle in and build trust. As with any puppy her age, much is still new to her: Sunny isn’t yet familiar with everyday home life and must gradually learn, step by step, how living with humans works. This includes adjusting to consistent routines, learning house training, calming down, and looking to her humans for guidance in unfamiliar situations. Everyday things like household noises, car rides, walking on a leash, visitors, stairs, or being left alone must all be introduced gently—in small stages, with patience, clear rules, and loving consistency. Sunny needs people who enjoy guiding a young dog and providing her with security. A calm, structured environment especially helps her: clear routines, reliable trusted people, and interactions that are kind yet set understandable boundaries. Sunny should be allowed to learn without pressure—while simultaneously being supported in following rules and developing confidence in daily life. With other animals, Sunny shows herself to be social: she gets along well with both dogs and cats and could therefore join a home with existing pets, provided everything else fits well. Having a confident only dog as a role model could help guide her, but it’s not essential—more important is that her new humans have time to meet her age-appropriate needs for activity while also ensuring she gets enough rest. We hope Sunny finds a loving home that understands a puppy isn’t “finished” but represents ongoing development: small steps forward, occasional setbacks—and above all, lots of shared bonding. Sunny ist ein junger Welpe, der trotz ihres schweren Starts neugierig und offen in die Welt schaut. Sie wurde ausgesetzt und auf einer Müllkippe entdeckt. Zum Glück konnte sie dort gesichert werden – ein Fund, der zeigt, wie dringend sie Schutz gebraucht hat. Heute ist Sunny in Sicherheit und bekommt endlich die Chance, anzukommen und Vertrauen aufzubauen. Wie bei einem Welpen in ihrem Alter ist noch vieles neu: Sunny kennt den Alltag in einem Zuhause noch nicht und muss Schritt für Schritt lernen, wie das Zusammenleben mit Menschen funktioniert. Dazu gehört, sich an feste Abläufe zu gewöhnen, Stubenreinheit zu üben, zur Ruhe zu kommen und sich in neuen Situationen an ihren Menschen zu orientieren. Auch Dinge wie Haushaltsgeräusche, Autofahren, Leine laufen, Besuch, Treppen oder das Alleinbleiben müssen behutsam aufgebaut werden – in kleinen Etappen, mit Geduld, klaren Regeln und liebevoller Konsequenz. Sunny braucht Menschen, die Freude daran haben, einen jungen Hund anzuleiten und ihr Sicherheit zu geben. Ein ruhiges, strukturiertes Umfeld hilft ihr dabei besonders: klare Routinen, verlässliche Bezugspersonen und ein Umgang, der freundlich ist, aber Grenzen verständlich setzt. Sunny soll lernen dürfen, ohne Druck – und gleichzeitig so begleitet werden, dass sie sich an Regeln orientieren kann und Vertrauen in den Alltag entwickelt. Im Umgang mit anderen Tieren zeigt sich Sunny sozial: Sie ist mit Hunden und Katzen verträglich und kann daher, wenn es insgesamt passt, auch zu bereits vorhandenen Vierbeinern ziehen.
