There was a day when someone already with some age and mobility difficulties came to our shelter and wanted to adopt a dog that barked (gave an alert) and preferably a puppy. Since we cannot guarantee the behavior of adult dogs in new homes, nor can we guarantee that a puppy will bark in the future, we decided not to give away any animal. The person left upset but quickly managed to adopt an animal elsewhere, properly microchipped. After a short time, the Tarzan appeared wandering the streets of Gafanha da Nazaré and after being picked up, it was checked for a chip and we were contacted because the chip's residence was in one of the locations in the municipality of Mira. The owner immediately denied abandoning the animal but also stated that he did not want it back, as it did not bark. The moral of the story is, if you want an alarm in your house, buy it, animals are not objects and we can never guarantee a certain behavior in an animal. We have people who complain that the dog barks and people who complain that the dog does not bark. Peso: -Carácter: O Tarzan tem uma história semelhante a muitos outros animais deste país .Houve um dia que alguém já com alguma idade e dificuldades de locomoção chegou ao nosso abrigo e queria adoptar um cão que ladrasse ( desse sinal ) e preferencialmente um bebé.Como não podemos garantir o comportamento de cães adultos nas novas casas , muito menos garantimos que um bebé no futuro ladre, achamos por bem não doar qualquer animal.A barafustar a pessoa lá foi embora mas rapidamente conseguiu adoptar um animal noutro local, devidamente chipado.Passado pouco tempo o Tarzan apareceu a deambular nas ruas da Gafanha da Nazaré e após ser recolhido foi verificada a existência de chip e fomos contactadas pois a residência do chip era numa das localidades do concelho de Mira.O tutor de imediato negou o abandono mas referiu também que não o queria de volta, pois o mesmo não ladrava.Moral da história, quem quer um alarme em casa que o compre, os animais não são objectos e nunca podemos garantir um determinado comportamento num animal .Temos quem se queixe por o cão ladrar e quem se queixe por o cão não ladrar .No abrigo desde: -Compatível com cães: simCompatível com gatos: desconhecidoCompatível com crianças: desconhecido
