The meaning of the name Amdir is "hope." It was not chosen by chance... When she came to us, we could only hope that help had arrived in time for her. At that point she was just a broken little kitty weighing a mere 2 kilos. Today she weighs 4 kilos, has been spayed, tested FIV/FELV negative, and will soon receive her first vaccination. But it isn't only her body that has grown stronger. In the weeks after her spay surgery she became more and more calm, and her initial distrust has melted away a great deal, both toward people and toward her feline companions. Today she welcomes being stroked, and she truly loves head scratches, and she even asks for them herself! Amdir is now safe and doing well with her temporary foster caregiver, but one thing is still missing from her life: a permanent family of her own. If that happened too, her story would truly be a real miracle. She is a grateful, calm female cat, around 2 to 3 years old, who has finally learned that a human hand can mean not only pain, but also love and security. Amdir neve azt jelenti: „remény”. Nem véletlenül kapta ezt a nevet… Amikor hozzánk került, tényleg csak reménykedni tudtunk benne, hogy időben érkezett számára a segítség. Akkor még mindössze 2 kilós, megtört cicus volt. Mára már 4 kiló, ivartalanításon is átesett, FIV/FELV negatív, és hamarosan megkaphatja az első oltását is. De nemcsak fizikailag erősödött meg. Az ivartalanítás utáni hetekben egyre nyugodtabb lett, és a kezdeti bizalmatlansága is rengeteget oldódott – mind az emberek, mind a cicatársai felé. Ma már hagyja a simogatást, sőt… kifejezetten szereti a buksisimit, és már ő maga is kéri! Amdir most már biztonságban van, jól érzi magát ideiglenes gondozójánál, de egy valami még hiányzik az életéből: egy saját, végleges család. Ha ez is teljesülne, akkor az ő története tényleg egy igazi csoda lenne. Ő egy hálás, nyugodt, körülbelül 2–3 éves nőstény cica, aki végre megtanulta, hogy az emberi kéz nemcsak fájdalmat, hanem szeretetet és biztonságot is jelenthet.
