The damage couldn’t be surgically corrected, and as a result, he has a permanent hitch in his step. He loves pets, leans into affection, and is happiest just being near his people. He’s not demanding — he just wants connection. Because he once had to go without food, he is food possessive around other dogs. He needs to be fed separately so he can feel secure. It’s not a flaw — it’s a survival habit from a time when food wasn’t guaranteed. Galileo does not do well with confinement. Being closed in a kennel is very stressful for him, and he will bark continuously if confined. He also doesn’t like being shut in small spaces and may become destructive if he feels trapped. He needs a home where he has space and isn’t crated. Galileo is resilient, affectionate, and steady. He’s been through hardship, but he hasn’t let it harden him. He’s simply a good dog who deserves a calm, understanding home where he can feel safe and settled.
