Cats listed as “in need of rescue” have an even more urgent need to find a forever family. This may be due to their age, a specific medical condition, or simply because they’re feeling unhappy at the shelter. Hazel was living as a stray on private property before she arrived at the shelter, where she finally found safety and care. She’s a fearful cat who will need time, patience, and gentleness to learn to trust and feel completely secure in her new environment. Hazel is looking for a calm home that respects her pace, where she can settle in peacefully and gradually build up her confidence. In terms of health, Hazel is HIV-positive. While this condition doesn’t prevent her from leading a happy life, she’ll need to live exclusively indoors to protect both her own health and that of other cats. Hazel gets along well with other cats, and having calm, respectful feline companions could even help her feel safer on a daily basis.

Les chats signalés en « sauvetage » ont un besoin encore plus urgent de trouver une famille. Cela peut être lié à leur âge, une pathologie particulière ou un mal-être au refuge. Hazel vivait en errance sur un terrain avant son arrivée au refuge, où elle a enfin pu être mise en sécurité et prise en charge. Hazel recherche un foyer calme et respectueux de son rythme, où elle pourra évoluer sereinement et gagner progressivement en confiance. Côté santé, Hazel est porteuse du Sida du chat. Cette particularité ne l’empêche pas de mener une vie heureuse, mais elle devra vivre exclusivement en intérieur afin de préserver sa santé ainsi que celle des autres chats. Hazel s’entend bien avec les autres chats, et la présence de congénères calmes et respectueux pourrait même l’aider à se sentir plus en sécurité au quotidien.
