Lilo a ajuns în sfârșitul lui iulie 2022 cu o epizodă activă de leishmanioză și sufera, de asemenea, de alopecie severă (pierderea părului) pe tot corpul, mai ales pe față – unde pleoapele îi erau deja atât de deteriorate și iritate încât nu mai putea clipi. Tratamentul pentru leishmanioză și băi dermatologice au ajutat copilașul să se recupereze și leishmanioza lui este acum sub control. Trebuia să facă o intervenție chirurgicală la ambele ochi, dar astăzi este ceva altceva care este, de asemenea, sub control. La început, din cauza rănilor, nu puteai nici măcar să atingi Lilo, dar acum acest mic băiat apreciază fiecare atingere în mod complet și nu își poate face suficient de multe îmbrățișări!
