Actualizare 28.2.2026: Acum sunt la adăpost. Lyra are aproximativ 1 an. Ele sunt în siguranță și în îngrijirea noastră. Ce animale frumoase. Sunt fericite să fie împreună. Deși viața lor a fost învârtită pe dos, facem tot posibilul să o dresem din nou. Până acum, totul bine. Erato este mama (stânga), Lyra este fetița (deși este la fel de mare ca mama ei, dreapta). După un timp de desfășurare, le vom pune spre adoptare. Pentru moment, le oferim multe atenții și le dăm timp să se obișnuiească cu spațiul nostru. Iată povestea ei: Dacă ai fost la Vechiul Harbor din Chania, ai văzut-o pe Erato și pe fiica ei Lyra. Ele trăiesc pe un vapor. Sau mai exact, trăiau pe un vapor cu proprietarul lor. Proprietarul a devenit bolnav, a fost spitalizat și nu mai poate îngriji animalele. Poliția portuară a cerut municipalității ca ele să fie eliminate din vapor. Poliția portuară a încercat să mă contacteze cu câteva zile în urmă, dar nu am avut timp să le răspund. Astăzi la veterinar, deși nu e obișnuită să facă asta, medicul mi-a cerut ajutorul pentru că nu putea vedea această animală „eliberată” pe stradă. Acolo mi-a arătat unde era Erato în cușcă și am recunoscut-o imediat! O făcea eliberată pe stradă? Această animală avea întotdeauna un stăpân! Așa că am acceptat să o iau și pe ea și pe fiica ei (care este pe vapor în timp ce scriu eu). Bine ați venit Erato, sper că adăpostul va fi temporar. Cu frumusețea ta, probabil va fi. Erato este estimată la patru ani. Astăzi a fost sterilizată și verificată clinic de veterinar. Este negativă la leishmanioză și sănătoasă.

She used to live on a boat at the old Harbor in Chania but her owner got sick and couldn’t take care of them anymore. Description/ Updates/ Pictures: Update June 2026: Lyra is a stunning young beauty, she adores people. She has a strong bond with her mom but is also integrated in our big girl group. She loves water and is an active young girl. Update February 2026: Now they are at the shelter. Lyra is about 1 year old. They are safe and in our care. What beautiful animals, happy to be together. Although their lives were turned upside down, we are doing our best to turn it right side up again. So far, so good. Erato is the momma (left), Lyra is the little girl (although she is as big as her momma, right). “They live on a boat. Well, they lived on a boat with their owner. Their owner has become ill, has been hospitalized and can no longer care for them. The harbor police asked from the municipality to have them removed from the boat. The harbor police had tried to contact me a few days ago but I had not had the time to get back to them. Today at the vet, although not accustomed to doing so, my vet asked me for help because she could not see this animal “released” on to the street. That was when she took me to where Erato was in her cage and I immediately recognized her! She was to be released on to the street?This animal had always had an owner! So I agreed to take her and her baby girl (who is on the boat as I write) tomorrow.”
