Support and Health How much training will I need? Needs extensive support Marnie will need a home visit as part of her rehoming requirements so any adopters will need to live within one hour of our Godmanchester centre. Can I be left alone? Yes Marnie is currently enjoying her time in a foster home where she has been left for a few hours. She should be able to do this again in her new home, once she’s settled in and had her training refreshed. Do I have any medical conditions? History of Marnie has previously had episodes of vomiting and alopecia which have resolved. This will require consideration before this pet is rehomed. Our rehoming team will be able to give you further information if you apply to rehome them and you are a successful match. We would also advise that any medical conditions, be that historic or ongoing, are discussed with your own vet prior to taking them home. Who I can live with Can I live with dogs? Yes Can I live with cats? No Can I live with small pets? No Additional information Marnie is a social girl with other dogs and gets excited when she see’s them, if she isn’t able to say hello she can become frustrated which shows as her barking. She is currently undergoing training around other dogs which she is making great progress with and will need to continue in her new home. Marnie could live with another dog in the home pending a dog mix. It would need to be a similar size and confident dog to help her build confidence in her new home. Should she go with another dog, they would need to have time to do separate walks for training purposes. Family and environment What kind of family am I looking for? Marnie is looking for a calm, adult-only home, or one with older teenagers aged 16+ and no visiting children. She is a worried girl around new people and isn’t the sort of dog that would like to stop and greet people when she’s out and about. Once she gets to know you, true to her breed, she adores you and thinks she’s a lap dog. Her new family will need to be committed to continuing her training and supporting her ongoing development. She would be best suited to a quieter household and is unlikely to enjoy a busy environment. What type of environment would suit me? Marnie will need a secure, private garden in her new home so she has a safe space to build her confidence and let off any steam. She will need to be walked in quieter area’s so she can enjoy her walks. About Marnie Marnie is a sweet and friendly girl with people she is used to. However she does find the world a bit of a worrying place to navigate so is looking for committed owners to help her build her confidence and be consistent with her training. Marnie is a very strong girl and still very young so will get a lot bigger. With caring and patient owners Marnie has the potential to thrive in a home.
