Support and Health How much training will I need? Needs extensive support Marnie will need a supportive and committed home to help her continue her progress. Because of this, and so our behaviour team can provide ongoing support to both her and her future adopter, we ask that applicants live within approximately one hour of our site in Godmanchester, Cambridgeshire Can I be left alone? Yes On foster, Marnie has been left up to 3 hours, she is very settled and sleeps the whole time they are gone. Home alone would need to be gradually built up in a new home. Do I have any medical conditions? History of Marnie has previously had episodes of vomiting and alopecia which have resolved. This will require consideration before this pet is rehomed. Our rehoming team will be able to give you further information if you apply to rehome them and you are a successful match. We would also advise that any medical conditions, be that historic or ongoing, are discussed with your own vet prior to taking them home. Who I can live with Can I live with dogs? Yes, conditionally - Marnie could live with a large confident male. Can I live with cats? No Can I live with small pets? No Additional information Marnie could live with another dog in the home pending a dog mix onsite. It would need to be a similar size and confident male dog to help her build confidence in her new home. When Marnie meets another dog she gets very excited and frustrated play, she does calm down quite quickly and is able to walk nicely with. We are currently doing a lot of training with Marnie regarding this. Family and environment What kind of family am I looking for? Marnie is looking for a calm, adult-only home, or one with older teenagers aged 16 and above. Her new family will need to be committed to continuing her training and supporting her ongoing development. She would be best suited to a quieter household and is unlikely to enjoy a busy environment where teenagers frequently have friends visiting and coming and going from the home. What type of environment would suit me? Marnie will need her own private garden. this is important for her as it will help her build confidence and to have a safe space to let off any steam and to play. About Marnie Marnie is a sweet and friendly girl with people she is used to. However she does find the world a bit of a worrying place to navigate so is looking for someone/people to help her build her confidence and be consistent with her training. Marnie is a very strong girl and still very young so will get a lot bigger. With caring and patient people Marnie has the potential to thrive in a home. She would not like to have young children to share her space with as this could be too worrying whilst she’s learning to regulate her emotions and learn appropriate intros to both people and dogs.
