Patch este un Jack Russell clasic, are 6 ani și este în foarte bună stare având venit dintr-o casă foarte îngrijitoare. Din păcate, Patch a dezvoltat o tendință spre comportamente de control - mormăind, mușcând - când nu își obține ceea ce vrea. În casa lui a învățat că poate scăpa fără să iasă, sau să rămână pe canapea oferind un mormăit pentru ca stăpânii să se retragă! În săptămânile de când a ajuns la salvare, nu am avut niciun fel de problemă cu el. El fiind manevrat; punerea lanțului; trimite-l afară cu voluntari pentru plimbări; plimbări și împărtășirea cu alte câini a unui box – totul bine. Deci Patch nu e pentru toată lumea, știm că ar putea folosi din nou comportamentele de control deja văzute odată ce se va adapta la o casă nouă. Are nevoie de o casă cu experiență, mai liniștită, fără oameni care intră și ies mereu. De asemenea, are nevoie de cineva pregătit să ofere corecție fermă dacă încearcă să scape cu ceva! Patch este un băiat inteligent, iubit, distractiv. Este foarte încredere atât pe când este legat, cât și atunci când nu este. Este imaculat de curat în boxul său. Da, are nevoie de un stăpân experimentat, dar și de o casă unde primește multă joacă, încurajare și confort. Din cauza istoricului său, nu-l vom reface într-o casă cu copii mici. Patch se împrietenește foarte bine cu alți câini aici. Ar putea fi un avantaj să aibă un alt câine în casă unde Patch înțelege mai ușor că lumea nu se rotește în jurul lui!

Patch is a classic Jack Russell, he is 6 years old and in great nick having come from a very caring home. Unfortunately Patch developed a tendency towards controlling behaviours – growling, snapping – when he didn’t get his way. In his home he learned that he could get away with not going out, or staying on the sofa by giving a growl to make his owners back off! In the weeks since he arrived to the rescue, we have had no issue with him. Handling him; clipping on leads; sending him out with volunteers for walks; walking and sharing a kennel with other dogs – all fine. So Patch is not for everyone, we know he may try to employ previously-seen controlling behaviours once he settles in a new home. He needs an experienced, quieter home without people going in and out all the time. He also needs someone prepared to give firm correction if he tries to get away with anything! Patch is a clever, loving, entertaining lad. He is very trustworthy on and off the lead and he is immaculately clean in his kennel. Yes, he needs an experienced owner, but also a home where he gets plenty of fun, encouragement and comfort. Because of his history we will not rehome him to a household with young children. Patch mixes really well with other dogs here. It could be a bonus having another dog in the home where Patch more easily understands that the world doesn’t revolve around him!
