Yuffie a fost predată împreună cu 4 alte cățele adulte și 12 pui de la un vânător. Câțiva dintre pui erau ai ei. În general, grupul de podencos erau foarte resemnați și timizi și au avut clar o lipsă de socializare. Yuffie a fost o mamă fantastică și a făcut o treabă minunată în crescerea puiilor săi, care toți au găsit apoi case proprii. Yuffie poate fi încă foarte resemnată și timidă față de străini până când învață să-i încredințeze, dar în prezența voluntarilor obișnuiți este o fată veselă, blândă, care își place să fie bătută pe cap și să joace cu oamenii, jucăriile și alte câini. Credeam că va evolua cel mai rapid într-o casă cu cel puțin un alt câine, dar pentru un stăpân răbdător, ar putea trăi și ca singur. Odată ce știe că ești, este foarte fericită să vină la tine pentru a cere îmbrățișări și este fericită să fie ridicată pentru o atenție. Iubește mâncarea și aceasta este un mare ajutor pentru a-i crește încrederea și a câștiga încrederea, deși va trebui să monitorizăm greutatea ei, deoarece ar putea already face cu o mică scădere pentru a fi în condiții optime. Este o fată minunată, cu un blană cu o culoare profundă și un coadă ușor mai întunecată. A fost testată cu pisici și ar putea trăi într-o casă cu pisici. Considerăm că un oraș/sat sau un loc mai rural ar fi ideal pentru ea, mai degrabă decât o oraș și ar beneficia, de asemenea, de un grădina unde se poate lupta treptat în primele zile și săptămâni. Este o fată minunată care a arătat deja cum poate învăța să aibă încredere și știm că va dezvolta un caracter minunat într-o casă. Yuffie va fi sterilizată, vaccinată și testată negativ pentru toate bolile mediteraneene, cu excepția Ehrlichiozei - după cum s-a spus deja, a fost testată pozitiv și primește tratament pentru aceasta, așa că o putem retesta pentru rezultatul bun. Yuffie was surrendered along with 4 other adult podencos and 12 puppies from a hunter. Some of the puppies were her own. The group of podencos in general were very shy and timid and had clearly lacked socialisation. Yuffie was a fantastic mum and did a great job of raising her puppies who have all since gone one to find homes of there own. Yuffie can still be very timid and shy around strangers until she learns to trust them, but around the regular volunteers she is a happy, sweet girl who enjoys a fuss and playing with people, toys and other dogs. We think she’ll progress quickest in a home with at least one other dog, but for a patient owner, could live as an only dog. Once she knows you, she is very happy to come up to you to ask for cuddles and is happy to be picked up for a fuss. She loves her food and this is a great way to help her build confidence and win her trust, although her weight will need to be watched as she could already do with losing a tiny bit in order to be in optimum condition. She really is a lovely girl, with such a striking deep coloured coat and a slightly darker muzzle. She has been cat tested and could live in a home with cats. We think a town/village or somewhere more rural would be ideal for her rather than a city and she would also really benefit from a garden where she can take it really slowly in the early days and weeks. She’s a wonderful girl who has already shown how she can learn to trust and we know she’ll blossom into a wonderful character in a home. Yuffie will be neutered, is vaccinated and tested negative for all Mediterranean diseases excluding Ehrlichiosis - as already stated she has tested positive and is receiving treatment for this, so we can retest for the all clear.
