Yuffie fue entregada junto con 4 otros podencos adultos y 12 cachorros de un cazador. Algunos de los cachorros eran suyos. En general, el grupo de podencos era muy tímido y tenía una clara falta de socialización. Yuffie fue una mamá fantástica y hizo un gran trabajo criando a sus cachorros, quienes ya han encontrado hogares propios. Aún puede ser muy tímida y reservada con extraños hasta que aprende a confiar en ellos, pero con los voluntarios habituales es una chica feliz y dulce que disfruta de atención y de jugar con personas, juguetes y otros perros. Creemos que progresará más rápidamente en un hogar con al menos otro perro, pero también podría vivir como único perro con un dueño paciente. Una vez que conoce a alguien, es muy feliz en acercarse para pedir cariño y le gusta ser levantada para recibir atención. Le encanta su comida y esto es una buena manera de ayudarla a ganar confianza y ganar su confianza, aunque su peso debe ser vigilado ya que podría perder un poco para estar en condiciones óptimas. Es una chica muy agradable, con un pelaje de color profundo y un morro ligeramente más oscuro. Ha sido probada con gatos y podría vivir en un hogar con gatos. Creemos que un pueblo o lugar más rural sería ideal para ella en lugar de una ciudad y también beneficiaría mucho de tener un jardín donde pueda tomarlo con calma en los primeros días y semanas. Es una chica maravillosa que ya ha demostrado cómo puede aprender a confiar y sabemos que florecerá como un personaje maravilloso en un hogar. Yuffie será esterilizada, vacunada y dará negativo en todas las enfermedades mediterráneas excepto Ehrlichiosis - como ya se indicó, ha dado positivo y está recibiendo tratamiento, por lo tanto podemos volver a hacer la prueba para confirmar. Yuffie was surrendered along with 4 other adult podencos and 12 puppies from a hunter. Some of the puppies were her own. The group of podencos in general were very shy and timid and had clearly lacked socialisation. Yuffie was a fantastic mum and did a great job of raising her puppies who have all since gone one to find homes of there own. Yuffie can still be very timid and shy around strangers until she learns to trust them, but around the regular volunteers she is a happy, sweet girl who enjoys a fuss and playing with people, toys and other dogs. We think she’ll progress quickest in a home with at least one other dog, but for a patient owner, could live as an only dog. Once she knows you, she is very happy to come up to you to ask for cuddles and is happy to be picked up for a fuss. She loves her food and this is a great way to help her build confidence and win her trust, although her weight will need to be watched as she could already do with losing a tiny bit in order to be in optimum condition. She really is a lovely girl, with such a striking deep coloured coat and a slightly darker muzzle. She has been cat tested and could live in a home with cats. We think a town/village or somewhere more rural would be ideal for her rather than a city and she would also really benefit from a garden where she can take it really slowly in the early days and weeks. She’s a wonderful girl who has already shown how she can learn to trust and we know she’ll blossom into a wonderful character in a home. Yuffie will be neutered, is vaccinated and tested negative for all Mediterranean diseases excluding Ehrlichiosis - as already stated she has tested positive and is receiving treatment for this, so we can retest for the all clear.
