Hamish is looking for a home with active adopters who can take him on lots of exploring, sniffy adventures in quiet walking areas, such as private hire fields, who can provide him with extra activities such as scent work or agility to keep his clever brain busy and give him all the care and attention he deserves. He can live with children aged 15 and over who understand that he is a large clumsy boy, who will play nicely with him and give him space to rest when needed. Hamish likes his attention undivided so is looking to be the only pet in the home; however, once settled in the home, there is a potential for him to have doggy walking friend who can cope with his active personality. He is a very clever boy, he knows ‘sit’, ‘paw’ and ‘wait'. He is so eager to please and takes training on board very quickly - so far he has learnt heel, eye contact, distractions and is busy doing scent work, which he is so good at. Apart from his intelligence and training abilities, Hamish loves nothing more than a good snuggle on the couch - he loves people and has so much love to offer. Once settled into the home, Hamish can get a little worried being left alone, he could be left for up to 1-2 hours, this would need to be built up slowly once he has had time to settle into his. He is also house trained and crate trained which makes it easier for building up time being left especially when he has a frozen kong to keep him entertained.
