Hello! We are Wotsit and Bubbles, two lovely Pomeranians looking for a very calm, understanding, and patient forever home together. We share an incredibly special bond and are hoping to find a family who can give us the time, kindness, and compassion we need to finally feel safe and secure. I’m Wotsit, and I’m a very worried little man. New people, new environments, and changes can feel quite overwhelming for me, so I will need a home that understands I may take a long time to settle and trust. I’m looking for someone patient and gentle who won’t push me to make friends before I’m ready, and who will allow me the space and time to build confidence at my own pace. Right now, the world feels quite scary to me, and it’s important that my new family understands that I may not feel comfortable leaving the house for quite some time. I’ll need people who are happy to meet me where I’m at and celebrate the little steps along the way. I’m Bubbles, and while I can also be a little unsure at first, I’m much more outgoing and quicker to make friends once I begin to feel safe. I’m a sweet little girl who really enjoys affection and cuddles, and I love being close to my people. I’ll happily climb onto your lap for fuss and companionship, and I’m sure I’ll make a lovely little shadow once I settle into home life. When we arrived, our coats weren’t in the best condition, so we’ve both had some rather funky welfare grooms to help us feel much more comfortable. We may look a little unusual right now, but with regular grooming and the right care, our fluffy coats should grow back beautifully. We will both need support while settling into our new home, including help with house training and building confidence when being left alone. Any leaving hours will need to be introduced very gradually over time. It’s also really important that our adopters understand that we are not dogs who will quickly adjust to busy lives, lots of visitors, or adventures outside the home. We are likely to need a long period of decompression where simply learning to feel safe indoors will be our biggest priority. Because of this, we are looking for an especially peaceful home with adult only, where life is quiet, predictable, and calm. We are not looking for an active lifestyle — we would much prefer a cosy home where we can enjoy companionship, affection, gentle routines, and pottering safely around the garden. We cannot live with other dogs or cats, but we could happily live alongside small caged animals. Our friends at the centre will need to bring us over for a home visit before we officially move in, so we kindly ask that any applicants are not more than 1 hour and 30 minutes away please. Above all else, we need owners who are truly patient, compassionate, and understanding. People who will accept us exactly as we are, without expectations, and give us all the time we need to slowly learn that the world can be kind.
