Lexi is an almost 5 year old Spaniel x Malinois making her an active girl who is cleverer than all of us! She will be an extremely loyal, trainable pet but she will need an experienced home. Lexi has not has much consistency across the past year, this lack of stability has led her to being unsure of people and new situations. Once she knows and loves you, you’re golden. She responds really well to kindness and calmness and has fun, cheeky side to her. Lexi could live with another dog if that dog is able to tolerate extreme play! The Malinois in Lexi leads to serious “mouthiness” and she looks like she is all teeth when she is playing. Once she has a good robust playmate she will also snuggle up nicely with them and enjoys their company. She will also be fine as an only dog because she is really faithful to her human. Meeting dogs onlead is a problem with Lexi. She is very leash reactive and she is not a fan of small dogs. A home where she has plenty of rural walks and enough space to have plenty of exercise in her own garden would be a big asset. Lexi is immediately wary of new people and needs a hands-off approach by visitors until she has a chance to suss them out. A home without too many people coming and going, a home without children, and a home that is able to manage introductions capably is going to be needed.
