The shelter is a noisy, strange place that terrifies her. Her gaze tells of loss, confusion, and sorrow. Louna bears the marks of a past that weakened her. Traumatized by this sudden change, she will need time, patience, and infinite gentleness to learn to trust again. Each day, she waits snuggled in her basket. She probably hopes to regain that human warmth she misses so much. What Louna needs today is not pity. It’s a person ready to extend a hand, to respect her pace, and to show her that not all departures are final. Because deep in her sad eyes, there remains a small light. LOUNA est arrivée au refuge avec ses deux copains. Trois vies bouleversées d’un seul coup. Aujourd’hui, LOUNA ne comprend pas ce qui lui arrive. Hier encore, elle vivait auprès d’un humain. Elle avait ses repères, ses habitudes, une présence familière. Puis, soudainement, tout a disparu. Timide, elle observe le monde qui l’entoure avec inquiétude. Le refuge est un endroit bruyant, étrange, qui lui fait peur. Son regard raconte la perte, l’incompréhension et le chagrin. LOUNA porte les traces d’un passé qui l’a fragilisée. Traumatisée par ce changement brutal, elle aura besoin de temps, de patience et d’une infinie douceur pour réapprendre à faire confiance. Chaque jour, elle attend blottie dans sa panière. Elle espère sans doute retrouver cette chaleur humaine qu’elle a connue et qui lui manque tant. Ce dont LOUNA a besoin aujourd’hui, ce n’est pas de pitié. C’est d’une personne prête à lui tendre la main, à respecter son rythme, à lui montrer que tous les départs ne sont pas définitifs. Parce qu’au fond de ses yeux tristes, il reste une petite lumière.
