When hikers were walking in the mountains, they saw a female dog with swollen mammary glands, a sure sign that she had given birth. They managed to catch her and put a long leash on her, following her until she led them to her puppies, no less than 8, all black... They collected them all and asked for our help. Here at the shelter, she has been able to raise her children in peace, they now eat dog food and can be adopted into a home. She has become exhausted, very thin, we are going to separate her from the children so she can rest and recover. She is calm and sociable. Leishmania analysis negative. 4 Idexx test (ehrlichia, filaria, anaplasma and borrelia) negative. Show more of her story Show less
