Nira and her four brothers were abandoned in the middle of the forest by the side of the road—left completely to their own devices. A fate no living creature should ever have to endure. Fortunately, the act was witnessed and reported. We hope those responsible for this cruel act will be held accountable. But Nira has decided to look forward. She won’t let anyone take away her joy of life and is now waiting for the greatest adventure of her life—their very own family. I think I’m just a little girl who first marvels at the world with wide-open eyes. Everything is new, everything is exciting, and sometimes I need just a tiny moment to take it all in. But when I realize everything is okay, nothing can hold me back anymore. Then I zoom off, discovering every blade of grass, playing with my canine pals, and enjoying every cuddle I can get. I dream of a family who’s excited to grow up together with me—people who’ll patiently show me what it means to live as a family dog, practice the dog ABCs with me, and rejoice when I become a little braver each day. I can’t promise I’ll never get into mischief—but that’s exactly what makes a real puppy’s life so special. I get along great with other dogs and am thrilled to have playmates. Whether I’ll love cats just as much, we don’t know yet—we’d happily test that if needed. My little suitcase is already standing by the door, anyway. All that’s really missing now is a family who’ll say, “Come on, Nira. Nira und ihre vier Brüder wurden mitten im Wald am Straßenrand ausgesetzt – einfach sich selbst überlassen. Ein Schicksal, das kein Lebewesen jemals erleben sollte. Glücklicherweise wurde die Tat beobachtet und zur Anzeige gebracht. Wir hoffen, dass die Verantwortlichen für diese grausame Tat zur Rechenschaft gezogen werden. Doch Nira hat beschlossen, nach vorne zu schauen. Sie lässt sich ihre Lebensfreude nicht nehmen und wartet nun auf das größte Abenteuer ihres Lebens – ihre eigene Familie. Ich glaube, ich bin so ein kleines Mädchen, das die Welt erst einmal mit großen Augen bestaunt. Alles ist neu, alles ist spannend und manchmal brauche ich einen winzigen Moment, um mich umzuschauen. Aber wenn ich merke, dass alles in Ordnung ist, hält mich nichts mehr auf. Dann flitze ich los, entdecke jeden Grashalm, spiele mit meinen Hundekumpels und genieße jede Kuscheleinheit, die ich bekommen kann. Ich träume von einer Familie, die Lust hat, gemeinsam mit mir groß zu werden. Von Menschen, die mir geduldig zeigen, wie das Leben als Familienhund funktioniert, mit mir das Hunde-ABC üben und sich darüber freuen, wenn ich jeden Tag ein kleines Stück mutiger werde. Ich verspreche zwar nicht, dass ich keinen Schabernack im Kopf habe – aber genau das gehört doch zu einem echten Welpenleben dazu. Mit anderen Hunden komme ich richtig gut zurecht und freue mich über jeden Spielkameraden. Ob ich Katzen genauso toll finde, wissen wir noch nicht – das testen wir bei Bedarf gerne. Mein kleines Köfferchen steht jedenfalls schon an der Tür. Jetzt fehlt eigentlich nur noch eine Familie, die sagt: “Komm, Nira.
