We took Oliverka in April because his owner, who loved him, unfortunately left for a retirement home due to dementia. She could no longer care for her beloved cat. Olik was brought to us by her son-in-law, who was definitely not interested in the cat. He is a healthy kitten, has beautiful teeth, blood tests are fine, and he is a pet and a calm cat. So why does he look like that in the photo? Oliverek has completely stopped grooming himself. We brush and clean him, but his fur grows faster than we can clean it. It's a sign that Oliverka's loss of home and environment has hit him hard. It's a terrible stress for him. From a beloved only child, he is suddenly in a shelter with many cats, where we don't have as much time for him as he deserves. Olik is not a model, but he is a great choice for a cat partner. He is calm, affectionate, and friendly to other cats.

Oliverka jsme přijali v dubnu, protože jeho panička, která ho milovala, bohužel s demencí odjela do domova seniorů. Nemohla se tedy o svého milovaného kocourka už dál starat. Olíka k nám přivezl její zeť, který o kocoura zájem rozhodně neměl. Je to zdravý kocourek, má krásné zoubky, krevní testy v pořádku a je to mazlíček a kliďas. Proč tedy vypadá na fotce tak, jak vypadá? Oliverek se úplně přestal čistit. My ho vyčesáváme a čistíme, ale jeho chlupy rostou rychleji, než je stačíme uklízet. Je to známka toho, že Oliverka ztráta domova a zázemí hodně zasáhla. Je to pro něj strašný stres. Z milovaného jedináčka je najednou v útulku se spoustou koček, kde na něj vůbec nemáme tolik času, kolik by si zasloužil. Olík sice není žádný model, ale je to super volba kočičího parťáka. Je klidný, mazlivý a k ostatním kočkám přátelský.
