Pat and Peggy are a delightful, bonded pair of young Chihuahua Crosses looking for a loving home together. These sweet girls share a wonderful bond and enjoy each other's company, often looking to one another for comfort and reassurance. They are searching for patient owners who can help them continue to build their confidence as they settle into home life. Peggy is the more confident of the pair and loves nothing more than attention from her favourite people. She is always excited for a fuss and happily wiggles with excitement when it's time to put her harness on before heading out for an adventure. Pat enjoys affection from those she knows well. She can be a little more reserved around unfamiliar people until she has had time to build bonds. Both girls have found meeting other dogs a little worrying during their stay. Peggy is happy to approach for a gentle sniff but often seeks reassurance before feeling comfortable enough to continue. Pat has shown her worries by barking when she sees other dogs, but she has been making progress with this and is gradually becoming more comfortable around them. As they can find other dogs overwhelming, Pat and Peggy are looking for a home where they will be the only dogs. They would also benefit from having a secure private garden where they can relax, play and explore at their own pace while continuing to build confidence away from other dogs. They also require house training, so their own garden will help with this training. The girls are still young and enjoy getting out for walks with lots of opportunities to sniff and explore before returning home to curl up together for a well-earned nap. New owners should be prepared to give Pat and Peggy time to settle into their new home and routine. There is no set timescale for this, and allowing the girls to progress at a pace that suits them will help them continue to flourish. Pat and Peggy are a lovely, affectionate pair who have so much potential.
