She has an exceptionally sweet nature, a constantly wagging tail, and so we are looking to find her a home with a friendly and steady canine companion as well as humans who will be ready, willing and able to progress her education about life and keep that tail wagging! She does have a lot to learn but she is going to be an absolute joy with the right help, with training and with patient ane empathic handling.Sammy has no history of living with children, and although she is the type to be very good with children, her needs in terms of training time and effort are not likely to be compatible with the needs of a young family, so we would not wish to place her with children under 10 years. She is unknown with cats or small pets. She is good with other dogs and enjoys their company.Sammy is going to need kind reassurance and lots of patience while she is learning basic canine life skills. She will need company most of the time.When a dog moves into a new home, they need time and consideration to help them feel confident and settled. They are having to adjust to a totally different environment, with new people and new challenges, and when one adopts a rescue dog, one must be ready to help them through not just the first few days, but for as long as it takes for them to feel comfortable in their new life. They are relying on their new owners to teach them the house rules and all about the new world they are living in. They are likely to need and benefit from dog training classes, and may also need behavioural help and the adopter may need to seek professional advice. If you are considering adopting, please be very sure that you are committed to the needs of your new friend, as they will be relying on you and their life and happiness is literally in your hands.
