Eli is a small and cozy safe place for dogs and cats just a short distance from Bucharest. The shelter is maintained by Claudia, who has a deep concern for the well-being of animals, and therefore has tried for years to keep the number of animals low, so that they can be given a high quality life while waiting for their own home. Sometimes, however, new residents end up at the shelter. This happened at the turn of 2025 and 2026, when a dog appeared at the gate of the shelter, frightened by the sound of fireworks. Claudia had never met the dog before, but as soon as the gate opened, the dog rushed into the yard and then directly into the building. Since then, named Shelby, the dog has not shown any interest in leaving the shelter, and is now looking for a home from the shelter. Shelby is a gentle personality. He is very soft and tender and easily lies down when a person approaches. Although he is somewhat nervous in new situations, he is basically very people-oriented. When he sees familiar faces, he happily jumps against the fence and immediately asks for pats and attention. When arriving at the shelter, Shelby was clearly upset by the sound of fireworks, and it is likely that he will also be somewhat sensitive to sounds at home. Therefore, a quiet home is being looked for where Shelby can gain confidence at his own pace. Shelby has so far lived alone in the shelter, but at least through the fence he has shown a polite attitude towards other dogs.

Eli for Animalsin tarha on pienikokoinen ja viihtyisä turvapaikka koirille ja kissoille vain pienen matkan päässä Bukarestista. Tarhaa ylläpitävälle Claudialle eläinten hyvinvointi on sydämen asia ja siksi hän on jo vuosia pyrkinyt pitämään eläinten määrän pienenä, jotta voisi tarjota heille laadukasta elämää myös omaa kotia odottaessa. Toisinaan tarhalle kuitenkin päätyy uusiakin asukkaita. Näin kävi vuosien 2025 ja 2026 vaihteessa, kun tarhan portille ilmestyi rakettien paukkeesta ahdistunut koira. Claudia ei ollut tavannut koiraa koskaan ennen, mutta heti tarhan portin auetessa koira oli sännännyt tarhan pihalle ja sieltä suoraan sisätiloihin. Sittemmin Shelbyksi nimetty koira ei ole tuon jälkeen osoittanut mitään mielenkiintoa lähteä pois tarhalta ja niinpä hän etsii nyt omaa kotia tarhalta käsin.Shelby on herttainen persoona. Hän on kovin pehmeän ja herkän oloinen ja alistuu herkästi maahan ihmisen lähestyessä. Vaikka hän on uusissa tilanteissa hieman ujo, on hän pohjimmiltaan kovin ihmisrakas. Tuttuja nähdessään hän pomppii iloisesti aitauksen aitaa vasten ja on heti pyytämässä rapsutuksia ja huomiota. Saapuessaan tarhalle Shelby oli selvästi ahdistunut rakettien paukkeesta ja onkin todennäköistä, että hän tulee myös kotona olemaan ainakin jonkin verran arka ääniä kohtaan. Niinpä hänelle etsitään rauhallista kotia, jossa Shelby saisi omaan tahtiin kasvattaa itseluottamustaan. Shelby on toistaiseksi asunut tarhalla yksin, mutta ainakin aidan läpi hän on suhtautunut muihin koiriin kohteliaasti.
