Vacker dam Skye söker efter en mycket speciell person som kan erbjuda henne ett bra hem. Inomhus är Skye en mycket lekfull och kärleksfull hund, men gillar inte nya människor som kommer in i huset. Hon kommer att titta och inte komma närmare dem. Med människor hon förtroende för, vill hon vara nära dig och följa dig till toaletten. Trots att hon inte är en övermässigt kärleksfull hund gillar hon sällskap. Skye kan reagera på mikrovågsdörren, uggdörren, torktumlaren och TV (t.ex. fotbollsmatch) genom att snurra runt och bli upphetsad. Om någon tar med Skye ut kommer hon att titta på dem och ibland bira och stega tillbaka. Att dra henne till hälarna hjälper till att motverka detta. När någon går mot henne är det bäst att agera innan Skye får chansen att reagera (genom att flytta Skye till andra sidan av kroppen och säga åt henne att sitta och vänta). Skye är orolig för ljud (t.ex. jordnötter, husreparer, etc.), hon kan få rädsla för stora föremål om hon inte vet vad de är (t.ex. ett stort inköpspåse på bordet om hon inte har sett dig lägga ner det). Hon gillar att undersöka saker och känna sig bekväm i sin miljö. Hon har god återkomst när hon är i en öppen area utan avbrott. Skye älskar att spela "hitta leken" (#om du döljer en leksak och säger var är kex t.ex.) hon känner igen sina leksaker vid namn. Hon älskar att spela i snön och bryr sig inte om promenader i regnet. Allmänt älskar hon friheten att springa under promenader, särskilt att jaga efter sin boll. Skye känner till flera kommandon (sitt, lägg, paw, snurra, vänta, vrida och mer) och njuter av att svara på dessa kommandon innan hon kastar en leksak. När hon får mat ska hon få ordern att lämna och ta den när den är lagd, hon gör samma sak när hon spelar med en leksak. Hon älskar att ha en uppgift, från att bli tillsagd att titta efter en familjemedlem som kommer in i huset till att bli beordrad att gå och hitta en viss leksak från sin leksakslåda. Att engagera hennes hjärna är nödvändigt för henne. Skye älskar att resa i bil och kika ut genom fönstret. Skye skulle gynnas av en ägare med collieerfarenhet men också reaktiva och nervösa hundar. Hon behöver någon med mycket tid och tålamod för att kunna visa hennes fulla potential. Hon skulle också gynnas av ett ganska landlig hem och ett stilla hem. Beautiful lady Skye is looking for a very special someone to offer her the best home. Within the house Skye is a very playful loving dog, but does not like new people coming into the house. She will bark and will not approach them. With people she trusts, she likes to be close to you and will even follow you to the toilet. Although not an overly affectionate dog she does like company. Skye can react to the microwave door, oven door, tumble dryer door and TV (football game being on for example) by spinning around and getting worked up. If someone takes Skye on when out she will react towards them barking with occasional lunge and then will step back. Pulling her into heel position helps counteract this. When someone walks towards her, its best to act before Skye has a chance to react (by moving Skye to the other side of the body and with her being told to sit and wait). Skye is anxious of loud noises (for example, fireworks, household drills, etc), She can get a fear of larger objects if shes not sure what they are (for example a large shopping bag sitting on the table if she hasnt seen you put this down). She likes to suss things out and feel comfortable in her surroundings. She has a good recall when in an open area with no distractions. Skye loves playing find the toy #(if you hide a toy and say wheres cookie for example) she knows her toys by name. She loves playing in the snow and doesnt mind walks in the rain. Generally loves the freedom of running while out for walks, especially chasing after her ball. Skye knows a number of commands (sit, down, paw, spin, wait, rollover and more) and enjoys responding to these commands before throwing a toy. When putting Skyes food out, shell be told to leave and then take once its put down, shell also do this when playing with a toy. She loves having a job to do, from being told to look out for a family member coming into the house to being asked to go and find a certain toy from her toy box. Engaging her brain is a must for her. Skye loves going out for car journeys and looking out the window. Skye would benefit with an owner with collie experience but also reactive and nervous dogs. She will need someone with a lot of time and patience to bring out her full potential. She would also benefit from a fairly rural home and a quiet household.
