Santino, “the Marquis” to his friends, is a very elegant podenco. He’s always basking in the sun and striking poses. He gets along well with other dogs and loves to play—though of course, he also loves to win. He’s extremely particular about food: he’ll sniff it first and make sure it’s to his liking before savoring it at his own pace. At first, he’s wary and fearful of people, since they all seem crude to him—but given time, he’ll let you serve him. He prefers country life to city life, because, according to him, “there’s too much riffraff” in dog parks.
