I am Walli Baby, a young tomcat, and as the name suggests, the baby of Walli. My mom lives in the animal shelter as an outdoor cat because she prefers humans in the way that we cats prefer street noise: unnecessary and pretty annoying. She was very shy and preferred to keep her distance from people. When she did approach, it was more of a "I'm going to show you who's in charge here" moment. But that's her story, now it's about me. I am also a bit shy, but not as dramatically so as my mom. I've picked up a bit of her caution, but I also have a very important trait that makes everything okay: I am extremely food-motivated. If there's any food around, I suddenly become a little daredevil. You could almost force me to like people. Not that I would admit it, but food is my way into their hearts. I am a curious tomcat, but I still need time to trust people. If you are patient and don't chase me, I will slowly become braver. And if you then also give me some treats, it might happen that I even come to you willingly. That would be my personal love letter, even though I would never say it out loud. What's important is that I need a partner. I am not a loner, I am more of a team player with a striped pattern. The best would be a cat that is already cuddly and secure in interacting with people, so she can show me that people are not just can-openers. I am very compatible and happy to have someone by my side who gives me the courage when I think people look like fluffy monsters. I am ready for my new home and bring my own little appetite with me. Ich bin Walli Baby, ein junger Kater und wie der Name schon sagt, das Baby von Walli. Meine Mama lebt im Tierheim als Freigängerin, weil sie Menschen eher so findet wie wir Katzen Straßenlärm finden: unnötig und ziemlich nervig. Sie war sehr scheu und hat Menschen lieber aus sicherer Entfernung gemieden. Wenn sie sich doch mal genähert hat, war das eher so ein „Ich zeige dir jetzt mal, wer hier das Sagen hat“ Moment. Aber das ist ihre Geschichte, jetzt geht es um mich. Ich bin zwar auch ein bisschen schüchtern, aber ich bin nicht so dramatisch wie meine Mama. Ich habe ein bisschen von ihrer Vorsicht mitbekommen, aber ich habe auch eine sehr wichtige Eigenschaft, die alles wieder gut macht: Ich bin extrem verfressen. Wenn es Futter gibt, bin ich plötzlich eine kleine Mut-Maschine. Da kann man mich fast schon zwingen, Menschen zu mögen. Nicht, dass ich es zugeben würde, aber Futter ist mein Weg ins Herz. Ich bin ein neugieriger Kater, aber ich brauche noch Zeit, um Menschen richtig zu vertrauen. Wenn du geduldig bist und mich nicht jagst, dann werde ich langsam mutiger. Und wenn du mir dann auch noch Leckerlis gibst, kann es passieren, dass ich sogar freiwillig in deine Nähe komme. Das ist dann quasi mein persönlicher Liebesbeweis, auch wenn ich das natürlich niemals laut sagen würde. Wichtig ist, dass ich ein Partnertier brauche. Ich bin kein Einzelgänger, ich bin eher so ein Teamplayer mit Streifenmuster. Am besten wäre eine Katze, die schon kuschelig und sicher im Umgang mit Menschen ist, damit sie mir zeigt, dass Menschen nicht nur Dosenöffner sind. Ich bin sehr verträglich und freue mich, wenn ich jemanden an meiner Seite habe, der mir Mut macht, wenn ich mal wieder denke, dass Menschen wie flauschige Monster aussehen. Wenn du also Lust auf einen jungen, neugierigen Kater hast, der mit etwas Zeit, Geduld und Leckerlis zu einem tollen Begleiter werden kann, dann melde dich im Tierheim. Ich bin bereit für mein neues Zuhause und bringe auch schon meinen eigenen kleinen Hunger mit. Und wenn du mich dann mal richtig kennst, wirst du sehen, dass ich eigentlich gar nicht so schüchtern bin, sondern nur ein sehr gut trainierter Profi im „Ich tue so, als wäre ich nicht interessiert“ Spiel.
