Support and Health How much training will I need? Needs ongoing support Can I be left alone? No Daphne struggles being left home alone, in her previous home her owners never left her and made sure there was always someone around. They worked hard with her so that she felt comfortable being in other rooms without them, but she will need someone at home all of the time while she has her training slowly worked on. Do I have any medical conditions? History of Daphne has historic medical conditions, namely ear infections, that will require consideration before this pet is rehomed. Our rehoming team will be able to give you further information if you apply to rehome Daphne and you are a successful match. We would also advise that any medical conditions, be that historic or ongoing, are discussed with your own vet prior to taking them home. Who I can live with Can I live with dogs? No Can I live with cats? No Can I live with small pets? No Additional information Daphne can be quite worried of other dogs, if they’re in the distance she will stand and watch them before moving on. She is more relaxed around other long legged Sighthounds and with the right dog, can get playful. Daphne can walk with other calm dogs who will respect her space, but she will need time to build a relationship and she may not always want to walk with other dogs. Family and environment What kind of family am I looking for? Daphne can live with teenagers, 13+. She is a nervous girl who is worried of people she doesn’t know but may choose to have a little sniff if she’s feeling brave. Once she’s been given time to build a relationship she gets very excited to see you and loves to have cuddles, but will take herself away when she’s had all the attention she wants. What type of environment would suit me? Daphne will need a secure garden with 6ft fencing so she’s got a safe space to burn off her energy, zoom around and play with her toys, it will also help for those days where she may not want to go on a walk. Daphne LOVES her toys! Soft toys are her favourite, she is quite independent with her play and usually takes her toys off to herself. She is very vocal when she plays and gets very growly- a typical Lurcher! Sometimes she will bring a toy over to you to play tug or fetch with. About Daphne Daphne is a young lurcher with a big heart and an even bigger love for her people. She forms strong bonds with those she trusts and thrives on companionship, so she can find it difficult when left on her own. One of Daphne’s favourite things in the world is zooming around at top speed, making a secure garden the perfect place for her to burn off energy and have fun. She loves playing with her toys, especially tossing them around and entertaining herself with a game. Daphne can be a little shy when meeting new people and exploring unfamiliar places. The big wide world can sometimes feel overwhelming for her, so she is looking for a patient and understanding home that can continue building her confidence through positive training and encouragement. With the right support, Daphne is sure to blossom into a happy, confident companion. She has so much love to give and will make a wonderful addition to a home that can offer her the time, reassurance, and affection she craves.
