Gala je velmi milá, ale velmi citlivá dívka, která původně přišla k nám od chovatele. Bohužel byla již dvakrát adoptována a obakrát vrácena, protože domy prostě nebyly vhodné pro ni. Kvůli tomu hledá Gala nyní velmi speciální trvalé domovy s lidmi, kteří opravdu rozumějí jejím potřebám a jsou zavázali jí věnovat čas, trpělivost a stabilitu, které nikdy neměla. Když přišla poprvé, byla velmi strachy a během prvního času se plně uzavřela, nechtěla mít nic společného s lidmi. Od té doby udělala několik krásných, i když malých, kroků vpřed. Nyní uvolní lehký pohrub na lavičce, obvykle po dobu jedné minuty, než se rozhodne odejít. To je velký pokrok pro ni a ukazuje, jak statečně se stává. Jedenkrát dokonce zvolila, aby skočila na lavičku a usedla vedle někoho. I když utekla, jakmile došlo ke lehkému pohybu, bylo to stále velkým milníkem a opravdu pozitivním znakem její rostoucí sebevědomosti. Řekněme však, že Gala je stále velmi úzkostlivá dívka, která si nosí mnoho strachu, a má ještě dlouhou cestu. Stále se bojí interakce a uteče, když jí někdo přijde blízko. Jakmile však usadí do jedné ze svých postelí, zůstane klidně sedět, aby jí bylo pomalu zvednuto nebo nasazené šlehačky. Stále je velmi nervózní ohledně obojku a šlehačky. Zatímco se trochu uklidní, když je na ni, proces nasazování je pro ni stále velmi strašný. Tento proces musí být postupně a jemně budován, aby nedošlo k přepětí nebo zpětnému posunu. Dokáže chodit na šlehačce, ale najde to velmi vystrašující a venkovní svět je stále velmi zmatený. Bude potřebovat čas a trpělivost, začínat v bezpečném zahradě, aby si mohla získat sebevědomost, před většími výpravami. Gala získává velkou útěchu od dalších psů a opravdu se jim těší. Ráda se tiskne k nim a bude nejšťastnější ve svém domě s jinými samičkami – čím více, tím lépe, pokud je to možné. Už nyní ukázala, že tvoří velmi silné vazby, často volí svého oblíbeného doprovodného spolupracovníka a hledá v něm vedení. Ideální by pro ni byla laskavá, sebejistá a hravá samička podobné velikosti, protože najde uklidnění a štěstí mezi psy, zatímco lidé jsou stále zdrojem nejistoty. Má také hezkou hravou stránku, která začíná vystupovat, a ráda si nosí a hraje si s měkkými hračkami, které jí připravují útěchu a spokojenost. Gala nemůže žít s kočkami a potřebuje klidný, dětský bezpečný domov, aniž by děti navštěvovaly, kde se bude cítit bezpečně a v bezpečí. Gala nikdy nepoznala bezpečí, takže co potřebuje nejvíce teď, je trpělivost, laskavost a někdo, kdo se nikdy nevzdá. Nebudou žádné okamžité zázraky a možná nikdy nebude důvěrný, aktivní pes, ale s pravým člověkem vedle sebe vědí, že může pokračovat ve svém růstu, uzdravit se z minulosti a konečně pochopit, co znamená cítit se bezpečně a láskou. Gala navštívila veterináře kvůli malé hmotě inguinálního tuku. To jí neublíží a je momentálně necháváno, ale může být v budoucnu monitorováno. Tento pes může být umístěn s rezidentním psem.

Gala is an extremely sweet but incredibly sensitive girl who originally came to us from a breeder. Sadly, she has already been adopted twice and returned both times, as the homes simply weren’t the right fit for her. Because of this, Gala is now searching for a very special forever home with people who truly understand her needs and are committed to giving her the time, patience, and stability she has never had. When she first arrived, she was an extremely scared, flighty, and shut-down girl who wanted nothing to do with us humans. Since then, Gala has made some lovely, if small, steps forward. She will now allow a gentle stroke while she is on the sofa, usually for around a minute before she chooses to move away. This is huge progress for her and shows just how brave she is becoming. On one occasion, she even chose to jump up onto the sofa and sit beside someone. Although she ran off as soon as there was a slight movement, it was still a big milestone and a really positive sign of her growing confidence. That said, Gala is still a very worried girl who carries a lot of fear, and she has a long way to go. She is still frightened of interaction and will run away when approached. However, once she has settled into one of her beds, she will stay still to be gently picked up or have her lead put on. She remains very nervous of the harness and lead. While she settles a little once it is on, the process of putting it on is still very scary for her. This will need to be built up slowly and gently to avoid overwhelming her or setting her back. She does know how to walk on a lead, but finds it quite daunting, and the outside world is still very overwhelming. She will need time and patience, starting in a secure garden to help build her confidence before any bigger adventures. Gala takes great comfort from other dogs and truly thrives in their company. She loves to snuggle up with them and will be happiest in a home with other female dogs — the more, the better if possible. She has already shown that she forms particularly strong bonds, often choosing a favourite companion and looking to them for guidance. A kind, confident, and playful female dog of a similar size would be ideal for her, as she finds reassurance and happiness with other dogs while humans are still a source of uncertainty. She also has a lovely playful side beginning to emerge, and she enjoys carrying around and playing with cuddly toys, which seem to bring her comfort and contentment. Gala cannot live with cats and will need a calm, child-free home, including no visiting children, where she can feel safe and secure. Gala has never truly known security, so what she needs most now is patience, kindness, and someone who will never give up on her. There won’t be any overnight miracles, and she may never become a confident, outgoing dog, but with the right person by her side, we know she can continue to grow in confidence, heal from her past, and finally understand what it means to feel safe and loved. Gala has visited the vets regarding a small mass of inguinal fat. This is not causing her any harm and is currently being left alone, but it may need monitoring in the future. This dog can be homed with a resident dog.
