Gala è una ragazza molto dolce ma estremamente sensibile che è arrivata da noi originariamente da un allevatore. Purtroppo è già stata adottata due volte e riconsegnata entrambe le volte, poiché le case non erano adatte a lei. Per questo motivo, Gala sta cercando un'adozione speciale per sempre con persone che capiscono veramente le sue esigenze e sono impegnate a darle il tempo, la pazienza e la stabilità che non ha mai avuto. Quando è arrivata per la prima volta, era una ragazza estremamente spaventata, nervosa e chiusa che non voleva avere niente a che fare con noi umani. Da allora, Gala ha compiuto alcuni bei, seppur piccoli, passi in avanti. Ora permette uno scambio delicato mentre è sul divano, solitamente per circa un minuto prima di decidere di allontanarsi. Questo è un grande progresso per lei e mostra quanto stia diventando coraggiosa. In un momento, ha perfino scelto di saltare sul divano e sedersi accanto a qualcuno. Anche se se ne è andata non appena c'è stato un leggero movimento, era comunque un importante traguardo e un segnale positivo del suo crescente autocontrollo. Tuttavia, Gala è ancora una ragazza molto preoccupata che porta tanta paura, e ha ancora molto da fare. È ancora spaventata dall'interazione e si allontana quando viene avvicinata. Ha già dimostrato di formare relazioni particolarmente forti, spesso scegliendo un compagno preferito e cercando la sua guida. Una cagna femmina gentile, sicura e giocosa della stessa dimensione sarebbe ideale per lei, poiché trova rassicurazione e felicità con gli altri cani mentre gli umani rimangono una fonte di incertezza. Ha anche un lato giocoso che sta iniziando a emergere e ama portare e giocare con peluche, che sembrano darle conforto e contentezza. Gala non può vivere con i gatti e avrà bisogno di una casa tranquilla senza bambini, inclusi visitatori bambini, dove si sentirà sicura e al sicuro. Gala non ha mai realmente conosciuto la sicurezza, quindi ciò che ha bisogno maggiormente ora è pazienza, gentilezza e qualcuno che non la abbandonerà mai. Gala is an extremely sweet but incredibly sensitive girl who originally came to us from a breeder. Sadly, she has already been adopted twice and returned both times, as the homes simply weren’t the right fit for her. Because of this, Gala is now searching for a very special forever home with people who truly understand her needs and are committed to giving her the time, patience, and stability she has never had. When she first arrived, she was an extremely scared, flighty, and shut-down girl who wanted nothing to do with us humans. Since then, Gala has made some lovely, if small, steps forward. She will now allow a gentle stroke while she is on the sofa, usually for around a minute before she chooses to move away. This is huge progress for her and shows just how brave she is becoming. On one occasion, she even chose to jump up onto the sofa and sit beside someone. Although she ran off as soon as there was a slight movement, it was still a big milestone and a really positive sign of her growing confidence. That said, Gala is still a very worried girl who carries a lot of fear, and she has a long way to go. She is still frightened of interaction and will run away when approached. However, once she has settled into one of her beds, she will stay still to be gently picked up or have her lead put on. She remains very nervous of the harness and lead. While she settles a little once it is on, the process of putting it on is still very scary for her. This will need to be built up slowly and gently to avoid overwhelming her or setting her back. She does know how to walk on a lead, but finds it quite daunting, and the outside world is still very overwhelming. She will need time and patience, starting in a secure garden to help build her confidence before any bigger adventures. Gala takes great comfort from other dogs and truly thrives in their company. She loves to snuggle up with them and will be happiest in a home with other female dogs — the more, the better if possible. She has already shown that she forms particularly strong bonds, often choosing a favourite companion and looking to them for guidance. A kind, confident, and playful female dog of a similar size would be ideal for her, as she finds reassurance and happiness with other dogs while humans are still a source of uncertainty. She also has a lovely playful side beginning to emerge, and she enjoys carrying around and playing with cuddly toys, which seem to bring her comfort and contentment. Gala cannot live with cats and will need a calm, child-free home, including no visiting children, where she can feel safe and secure. Gala has never truly known security, so what she needs most now is patience, kindness, and someone who will never give up on her. There won’t be any overnight miracles, and she may never become a confident, outgoing dog, but with the right person by her side, we know she can continue to grow in confidence, heal from her past, and finally understand what it means to feel safe and loved. Gala has visited the vets regarding a small mass of inguinal fat. This is not causing her any harm and is currently being left alone, but it may need monitoring in the future. This dog can be homed with a resident dog.
