Gala jest niezwykle słodką, ale niezwykle wrażliwą dziewczyną, która pierwotnie trafiła do nas od hodowcy. Niestety, została już dwa razy adoptowana i za każdym razem wracała, ponieważ domy po prostu nie były dla niej odpowiednie. Z tego powodu Gala teraz poszukuje bardzo specjalnego, stałego domu z ludźmi, którzy naprawdę rozumieją jej potrzeby i są zaangażowani w zapewnienie jej czasu, cierpliwości i stabilności, której nigdy nie miała. Kiedy po raz pierwszy przybyła, była bardzo przestraszoną, niespokojną i wycofaną dziewczyną, która nie chciała mieć nic wspólnego z nami, ludźmi. Od tego czasu Gala poczyniła pewne piękne, choć małe kroki naprzód. Teraz pozwoli na delikatne głaskanie, gdy jest na sofie, zwykle przez około minutę, zanim zdecyduje się odejść. To ogromny postęp dla niej i pokazuje, jak bardzo staje się odważna. Przy okazji, nawet wybrała się na sofę i usiadła obok kogoś. Chociaż uciekła, gdy tylko pojawił się najmniejszy ruch, to i tak był to duży kamień milowy i naprawdę pozytywny znak jej rosnącej pewności siebie. Z drugiej strony, Gala jest nadal bardzo zaniepokojoną dziewczyną, która nosi w sobie dużo strachu, i ma przed sobą długą drogę. Nadal boi się interakcji i ucieknie, gdy tylko ktoś się do niej zbliży. Jednakże, gdy tylko usiądzie w jednym z jej łóżek, będzie siedzieć nieruchomo, aby można ją było delikatnie podnieść lub założyć jej obrożę. Nadal bardzo boi się obroży i smyczy. Chociaż pozwoli na to, gdy już się uspokoi, sam proces zakładania jej jest dla niej nadal bardzo przerażający. Będzie to wymagało powolnego i delikatnego budowania, aby jej nie przytłoczyć ani nie cofnąć. Idealna dla niej byłaby dobra, pewna siebie i zabawna suczka o podobnej wielkości, ponieważ czuje się pewniej i szczęśliwiej z innymi psami, podczas gdy ludzie są nadal źródłem niepewności. Gala is an extremely sweet but incredibly sensitive girl who originally came to us from a breeder. Sadly, she has already been adopted twice and returned both times, as the homes simply weren’t the right fit for her. Because of this, Gala is now searching for a very special forever home with people who truly understand her needs and are committed to giving her the time, patience, and stability she has never had. When she first arrived, she was an extremely scared, flighty, and shut-down girl who wanted nothing to do with us humans. Since then, Gala has made some lovely, if small, steps forward. She will now allow a gentle stroke while she is on the sofa, usually for around a minute before she chooses to move away. This is huge progress for her and shows just how brave she is becoming. On one occasion, she even chose to jump up onto the sofa and sit beside someone. Although she ran off as soon as there was a slight movement, it was still a big milestone and a really positive sign of her growing confidence. That said, Gala is still a very worried girl who carries a lot of fear, and she has a long way to go. She is still frightened of interaction and will run away when approached. However, once she has settled into one of her beds, she will stay still to be gently picked up or have her lead put on. She remains very nervous of the harness and lead. While she settles a little once it is on, the process of putting it on is still very scary for her. This will need to be built up slowly and gently to avoid overwhelming her or setting her back. She does know how to walk on a lead, but finds it quite daunting, and the outside world is still very overwhelming. She will need time and patience, starting in a secure garden to help build her confidence before any bigger adventures. Gala takes great comfort from other dogs and truly thrives in their company. She loves to snuggle up with them and will be happiest in a home with other female dogs — the more, the better if possible. She has already shown that she forms particularly strong bonds, often choosing a favourite companion and looking to them for guidance. A kind, confident, and playful female dog of a similar size would be ideal for her, as she finds reassurance and happiness with other dogs while humans are still a source of uncertainty. She also has a lovely playful side beginning to emerge, and she enjoys carrying around and playing with cuddly toys, which seem to bring her comfort and contentment. Gala cannot live with cats and will need a calm, child-free home, including no visiting children, where she can feel safe and secure. Gala has never truly known security, so what she needs most now is patience, kindness, and someone who will never give up on her. There won’t be any overnight miracles, and she may never become a confident, outgoing dog, but with the right person by her side, we know she can continue to grow in confidence, heal from her past, and finally understand what it means to feel safe and loved. Gala has visited the vets regarding a small mass of inguinal fat. This is not causing her any harm and is currently being left alone, but it may need monitoring in the future. This dog can be homed with a resident dog.
