James je velmi milý chlapík, i když může být někdy trochu zvlčený v místech, která nezná. Proto potřebuje nějaký čas a prostor ve svém novém domě, aby se usadil, přizpůsobil a zvykl si na své nové prostředí. James může žít v domácnosti s jinými psy stejné velikosti a dětmi staršími 9 let. James rád hraje a interaguje s jinými psy, ale není moc dobrý s sociálními signály a má tendenci „vrazit“; může být také trochu hlukový a nadšený při setkání s psem poprvé. S trochou času a dalším tréninkem je to však možné napravit. James by se vyrovnal s rodinou, která bude mít čas a energii věnovat jeho potřebám plně a pomoci mu stát se nejlepší verzí sám sebe. * Tento pes je nyní opatrovaný pod naším programem Homestay. V rámci tohoto programu pes zůstává u současného majitele až do okamžiku adopce, kdy vlastnictví dočasně přechází na Dogs Trust a potom na nové adoptivní rodiče. Výhody Homestay pro psa jsou, že minimalizuje rušení a zabrání tomu, aby pes musel přijít do krytých míst, avšak existuje možnost, že majitel odmítne program před adopcí. Rozumíme nepříjemnosti, kterou to může způsobit potenciálním adoptivním rodičům, a pracujeme těsně s majiteli, abychom minimalizovali pravděpodobnost tohoto jevu. Nicméně zůstává možnost, že se to stane, a pokud ano, Dogs Trust prioritně najde adoptivním rodičům alternativní vhodného psa. Pojďte se setkat s Jamesem, 6letým a 2 měsíčním Siberian Huskym! Tento krásný chlapík je trochu zdrženlivý a odloučený, když ho poprvé poznáte, ale dokažte mu trochu času a brzy budete vědět, že je to citlivý, dobře chovající se kluk, kterému je potřeba nová rodina, která mu dá lásku a pozornost, které si zaslouží. James je obecně velmi šťastný chlapík a rád se schoulí na pohovce doma (myslí si, že je trochu kočička), ale je stejně spokojený na řetězu nebo běhající v blízkém poli. Tento příjemný chlapík dobře interaguje s dětmi a odejde na své, když už si užije dost. James může být klidný, pokud je nějakou dobu nezbedný, ale snese být sám tři až čtyři hodiny, maximálně třikrát týdně. Celkově by James odpovídal domácnosti s zkušeností s péčí o velké, vysokoenergetické plemena, která potřebují množství mentálního a fyzického stimulace.

James is a very sweet boy although he can be a little withdrawn in places he is unfamiliar with. He will therefore need some time and space in his new home to settle, adjust and get used to his new surroundings. James has lived in a household with other dogs and loves the friends he has but is currently struggling to make new friends so would like to be the only dog but would benefit from calm social friends. With some time and additional training, however, this is something that can definitely be worked on. James plays well with kids 10+ and would thrive with a family that can dedicate the time and energy to ensuring his needs are fully met and helping him become the very best version of himself. * This dog is currently being rehomed under our Homestay scheme. Under this scheme, the dog stays with their current owner until the point of adoption, when ownership transfers briefly to Dogs Trust and then to the new adopters. The benefits of Homestay for a dog are that it minimises disruption and prevents the dog having to come into kennels, however there is the potential the owner may pull out of the scheme prior to adoption. We understand the upset this may cause to potential adopters, and we work closely with owners to minimise the likelihood of this. However, it remains a possibility, and should this occur, Dogs Trust will prioritise finding adopters an alternative suitable dog. Meet James, a 6-year, 8-month-old Siberian Husky! This gorgeous boy is a little shy and aloof when you first meet him but give him some time and you will soon learn he is an affectionate, well-behaved lad in need of a new family to give him the love and attention he deserves. James is generally a very happy chappy, and loves curling up on the sofa at home (he likes to think of himself as a bit of a lap dog), but he is just as content out on the lead or running around in a nearby field. This loveable lad interacts well with children and will withdraw and do his own thing once he has had enough fun. James can be a restless if left unsupervised for extended periods of time but can tolerate being left alone for three to four hours at a time, no more than three times a week. Overall, James would suit a household with experience of looking after large, high-energy dog breeds that require plenty of mental and physical stimulation.
