James es un chico muy dulce aunque puede ser un poco reservado en lugares que no conoce. Por lo tanto, necesitará algo de tiempo y espacio en su nueva casa para instalarse, adaptarse y acostumbrarse a sus nuevas condiciones. James puede vivir en un hogar con otros perros del mismo tamaño y niños de 9 años o más. A James le encanta jugar e interactuar con otros perros, pero no es muy bueno con las señales sociales y tiende a "lanzarse"; también puede ser un poco ruidoso y muy emocionado al conocer a otros perros por primera vez. Sin embargo, con algo de tiempo y entrenamiento adicional, esto ciertamente se puede mejorar. James prosperaría en una familia que pueda dedicar el tiempo y la energía necesarios para asegurar que sus necesidades estén plenamente satisfechas y ayudarle a convertirse en la mejor versión de sí mismo. * Este perro está actualmente siendo reubicado bajo nuestro programa Homestay. Sin embargo, sigue siendo una posibilidad, y si ocurre, Dogs Trust priorizará encontrar a los adoptantes un perro alternativo adecuado. Conoce a James, un husky siberiano de 6 años y 2 meses. Este chico guapo es un poco tímido y distante al principio, pero con un poco de tiempo descubrirás que es un joven afectuoso y bien educado que necesita una nueva familia que le ofrezca el amor y atención que merece. James normalmente es un chico muy feliz y le encanta acurrucarse en el sofá en casa (él piensa que es un poco un perro de regazo), pero también está tan contento en la correa o corriendo en un campo cercano. Este simpático muchacho interactúa bien con los niños y se retira para hacer su cosa una vez que ha tenido suficiente diversión. James puede ser inquieto si se deja sin vigilancia durante largos períodos de tiempo, pero puede tolerar estar solo durante tres o cuatro horas a la vez, no más de tres veces por semana. En general, James sería adecuado para un hogar con experiencia en cuidar razas grandes de perros de alta energía que requieren mucha estimulación mental y física.

James is a very sweet boy although he can be a little withdrawn in places he is unfamiliar with. He will therefore need some time and space in his new home to settle, adjust and get used to his new surroundings. James can live in a household with other dogs of a similar size and children as young as 9-years-old. James loves to play and interact with other dogs, but he isn’t great with social cues and tends to ‘rush in’; he can also be a bit boisterous and over-excited when meeting dogs for the first time. With some time and additional training, however, this is something that can definitely be worked on. James would thrive with a family that can dedicate the time and energy to ensuring his needs are fully met and helping him become the very best version of himself. * This dog is currently being rehomed under our Homestay scheme. Under this scheme, the dog stays with their current owner until the point of adoption, when ownership transfers briefly to Dogs Trust and then to the new adopters. The benefits of Homestay for a dog are that it minimises disruption and prevents the dog having to come into kennels, however there is the potential the owner may pull out of the scheme prior to adoption. We understand the upset this may cause to potential adopters, and we work closely with owners to minimise the likelihood of this. However, it remains a possibility, and should this occur, Dogs Trust will prioritise finding adopters an alternative suitable dog. Meet James, a 6-year, 2-month-old Siberian Husky! This gorgeous boy is a little shy and aloof when you first meet him but give him some time and you will soon learn he is an affectionate, well-behaved lad in need of a new family to give him the love and attention he deserves. James is generally a very happy chappy, and loves curling up on the sofa at home (he likes to think of himself as a bit of a lap dog), but he is just as content out on the lead or running around in a nearby field. This loveable lad interacts well with children and will withdraw and do his own thing once he has had enough fun. James can be a restless if left unsupervised for extended periods of time but can tolerate being left alone for three to four hours at a time, no more than three times a week. Overall, James would suit a household with experience of looking after large, high-energy dog breeds that require plenty of mental and physical stimulation.
