James è un ragazzo molto dolce, anche se può essere un po' riservato in luoghi che non conosce. Avrà quindi bisogno di tempo e spazio nella sua nuova casa per ambientarsi, adattarsi e abituarsi ai nuovi ambienti. James può vivere in una casa con altri cani della stessa taglia e bambini di almeno 9 anni. James ama giocare e interagire con altri cani, ma non è molto bravo con i segnali sociali e tende a "avventurarsi"; può anche essere un po' rumoroso e eccitato quando incontra per la prima volta altri cani. Tuttavia, con un po' di tempo e ulteriore addestramento, questo aspetto può sicuramente essere migliorato. James prospererebbe in una famiglia che possa dedicare il tempo ed l'energia necessari per soddisfare appieno le sue esigenze e aiutarlo a diventare la migliore versione di se stesso. * Questo cane sta attualmente cercando una nuova casa nel nostro programma Homestay. In questo programma, il cane rimane con il proprietario attuale fino al momento dell'adozione, quando la proprietà passa temporaneamente a Dogs Trust e poi agli adottatori nuovi. I vantaggi del Homestay per il cane sono che riduce il disagio e impedisce al cane di dover entrare in gabbia, tuttavia c'è il rischio che il proprietario abbandoni il programma prima dell'adozione. Comprendiamo il dolore che questo potrebbe causare agli adottatori potenziali e collaboriamo strettamente con i proprietari per ridurre la probabilità che ciò accada. Tuttavia, rimane una possibilità e, in caso di verificarsi, Dogs Trust privilegerà trovare agli adottatori un cane alternativo adatto. Conosci James, un Siberian Husky di 6 anni e 2 mesi! Questo bel ragazzo è un po' timido e distante quando lo incontri per la prima volta, ma dargli tempo ti farà capire che è un ragazzo affettuoso e ben comportato, che ha bisogno di una nuova famiglia che gli dia l'amore e l'attenzione che merita. James è generalmente un ragazzo molto felice e ama raggomitolarsi sul divano a casa (si considera un po' un cane da salotto), ma è altrettanto contento in passeggiata o correndo in un campo vicino. Questo simpatico ragazzone interagisce bene con i bambini e si ritira per fare la sua cosa quando ha avuto abbastanza divertimento. James può essere irrequieto se lasciato solo per periodi prolungati, ma può sopportare di essere lasciato solo per tre o quattro ore alla volta, non più di tre volte a settimana. In generale, James si adatterebbe a una casa con esperienza nell'assistenza a razze canine grandi e ad alta energia che richiedono molta stimolazione mentale e fisica.

James is a very sweet boy although he can be a little withdrawn in places he is unfamiliar with. He will therefore need some time and space in his new home to settle, adjust and get used to his new surroundings. James can live in a household with other dogs of a similar size and children as young as 9-years-old. James loves to play and interact with other dogs, but he isn’t great with social cues and tends to ‘rush in’; he can also be a bit boisterous and over-excited when meeting dogs for the first time. With some time and additional training, however, this is something that can definitely be worked on. James would thrive with a family that can dedicate the time and energy to ensuring his needs are fully met and helping him become the very best version of himself. * This dog is currently being rehomed under our Homestay scheme. Under this scheme, the dog stays with their current owner until the point of adoption, when ownership transfers briefly to Dogs Trust and then to the new adopters. The benefits of Homestay for a dog are that it minimises disruption and prevents the dog having to come into kennels, however there is the potential the owner may pull out of the scheme prior to adoption. We understand the upset this may cause to potential adopters, and we work closely with owners to minimise the likelihood of this. However, it remains a possibility, and should this occur, Dogs Trust will prioritise finding adopters an alternative suitable dog. Meet James, a 6-year, 2-month-old Siberian Husky! This gorgeous boy is a little shy and aloof when you first meet him but give him some time and you will soon learn he is an affectionate, well-behaved lad in need of a new family to give him the love and attention he deserves. James is generally a very happy chappy, and loves curling up on the sofa at home (he likes to think of himself as a bit of a lap dog), but he is just as content out on the lead or running around in a nearby field. This loveable lad interacts well with children and will withdraw and do his own thing once he has had enough fun. James can be a restless if left unsupervised for extended periods of time but can tolerate being left alone for three to four hours at a time, no more than three times a week. Overall, James would suit a household with experience of looking after large, high-energy dog breeds that require plenty of mental and physical stimulation.
