Molly je středně velký až velký místní plemeno ve věku okolo tří let. Ještě není testována na kočky. Potřebuje bytelného psa. Respektující děti od 10 let. Molly byla zachráněna z ovcí v Rumunsku, když byla štěňatko. Pastýř volal známému zachránci a řekl, že chce „odstranit“ všechny psy, protože jich bylo příliš mnoho. Když zachránci šli pro ně, všechny byly pevně uvázány do uzavřené kartonové krabice. Jedno ze štěňat bylo dokonce uvázáno na čelist. Měli jen několik sekund do dusení. Molly a dvě její sestry neměly štěstí dostat se jako štěňata k adopci a rostly tak v soukromém chrání. Bezpečné a milované, ale v podvazích, které nezažily radosti svého vlastního domova. Molly je teď v domácím útulku ve Velké Británii, čeká na adopční nabídku. Molly je šťastná a laskavá holka, je trochu váhavá v nových situacích, proto jí bude potřeba další sociabilizace. Dobře se smíšuje s ostatními psi ve svém domácím útulku a potřebuje dalšího psa jako trvalého obyvatele ve svém konečném domově. Mohla by žít s respektujícími dětmi ve věku deseti let a více. Starší psi (10+ let): 150–250 £ (podle věku a individuálních potřeb). Podmínky pro adopci. Při adopci psa od Safe Rescue musíte použít vedenku. Tím si udržíte svého psa v bezpečí: váš nový pes bude nervózní a nebude vás důvěřovat, a vy nebudete vědět, které situace by mohly vašeho psa zneklidnit. Pokud se pes zpanikaří, jediný způsob, jak zabránit jeho útěku, je vedenka (mnoho psů může uniknout z obruče a/nebo pásu). Bude potřeba nejméně 3-6 měsíců, aby se pes usadil a vy plně poznali svého psa (déle pro strachové psy). Vedenka musí být použita VŽDY během tohoto období usazování. I poté, co se pes usadí, je nejbezpečnější použít vedenku ve situacích, kde by mohl pes být vyděšen (např. návštěva nových míst, kolem cizích lidí, u veterináře), a v situacích, kdy mohou nastat neočekávané triggerové události (např. kolem oteplení). Strachoví psi mohou mít vždy potřebu nosit vedenku jako záložní bezpečnostní opatření. Vedenka je bezpečnostní zařízení a NESMÍ být nikdy použita jako nástroj tréninku. Použití vedenky k aplikaci tlaku na krk psa je škodlivé. Pokud váš pes tahá vedenku, můžeme vám poradit s tréninkovými metodami, které způsobí neškodu. Jakmile se pes usadí, můžete zvážit použití pásu (spolu s vedenkou), pokud pes je komfortní s dotykem, když je nasazen. Většina pásů není unikací odolná, ale pásy se řemínkem za žebrami (např. Ruffwear Webmaster nebo Perfect Fit pásy) jsou bezpečnější. Retraktní / prodlužovací vedenky nesmí být použity na naše psy. Molly was rescued from a sheep field in Romania when she was a puppy. The shepherd called a known rescuer and said that he was going to “get rid” of all the dogs because there were too many. When rescuers went for them they were all tied very tightly in a sealed cardboard box. One of the pups was even tied at the muzzle. They were seconds away from suffocation. Molly and two of her sisters were not lucky enough to get adopted as pups and so grew up in the private shelter. Safe and loved but in a pen not experiencing the joys of their own home. Molly is now in a UK foster home waiting awaiting an adoption offer. Molly is a happy and affectionate girl, she’s a little hesitant in new situations so will just need further socialisation. She mixes well with the other dogs in her foster home and will need another dog as full time resident in her forever home . She could live with respectful children aged ten plus. This will keep your dog safe: your new dog will be nervous and will not trust you, and you will not know which situations might upset your dog. If your dog panics, then a slip lead is the only way to prevent your dog from escaping (many dogs can escape from a collar and/or harness). It will take AT LEAST 3-6 months for your dog to settle-in and for you to know your dog fully (longer for nervous dogs). The slip lead must ALWAYS be used during this settling-in period. Even after your dog is settled, it is safest to use the slip lead in situations where your dog may become scared (e.g. visiting new places, around unfamiliar people, at the vet), and it situations where unexpected triggers might happen (e.g. around bonfire night). Nervous dogs may always need to wear a slip-lead as a back-up safety measure. The slip lead is a safety device and must NEVER be used as a training tool. Using the lead to apply pressure to the dog’s neck is damaging. If your dog pulls on the lead, then we can advise you on training methods that avoid harm. Once your dog is settled, you may want to consider using a harness (together with the slip lead) if your dog is comfortable with being handled when it is fitted. Most harnesses are not escape-proof, but harnesses with a strap behind the ribcage (e.g. Ruffwear Webmaster or Perfect Fit Harnesses) are safer. Retractable / extendable leads must never be used on our dogs. Adopted dogs must be collected from the rescue and transported straight home in a secure metal crate.
