Arun er et smukt Podenco Ibicenco, der kom til os på randen af at være sultne, uden mikrochip, i sidste ende af den forfærdelige jagtseason i Spanien. Hans navn betyder "opstående sol" og "sol", og vi mener, det afspejler ham perfekt. I øjeblikket har Arun en meget tavs og rolig natur, han ikke barker, hopper, skynder sig, han bevæger sig langsomt og forsigtigt. Selvom han er bange for situationer, er han faktisk ikke bange for mennesker som sådan - når han kender en frivillig, elsker han at blive rørt og kærtegjort, det er bare hurtige og kaotiske bevægelser, der skræmmer ham væk. Arun følger de personer, han tillid til dejligt på snor, og nu hvor han er med i en gruppe andre hunde, kommer han ud af sin skal hurtigere. Han elsker at være rundt omkring andre hunde, det er første gang vi har set ham løbe og vifte med hælen, da han var sammen med en gruppe Podenco, Mastin & Collie piger, som han nu har flyttet ind hos. For Arun leder vi efter et hjem tæt på naturen, ikke i byen, med mindst en hund allerede i familien. Vi gætter på, at han aldrig har været i et traditionelt hjem før, og det er sandsynligt, at han vil elske et hjem med noget sikker ydeplads, ikke helt begrænset til at leve inde i et lejlighed. Aruns skulderhøjde er ca. 63-65 cm.

Arun is a stunningly beautiful Podenco Ibicenco who arrived to us on the verge of starvation, without a microchip, towards the end of the horrible hunting season in Spain. His name means "dawn" and "sun", and we think this reflects him perfectly. At the moment, Arun has a very quiet and still nature, he does not bark, jump, rush, he moves slowly and cautiously. Even though he is fearful of situations, he is actually not afraid of people as such - when he already knows a volunteers, he enjoys to be touched and caressed, it is just fast, hectic movements that scare him off. Arun accompanies the people he trusts very nicely on the leash, and now that he has joined a group of other dogs, he is coming out of his shell quicker. He likes to be around other dogs, that is the first time we saw him running and wagging his tail, when he was together with a group of Podenco, Mastin & Collie girls, who he has now moved in with. For Arun we are looking for a home near the nature, not in the city, with at least one dog already in the family. We are guessing that he has never been in a traditional home before, and most likely he would appreciate a home with some safe exterior space, not entirely restricted to living indoors in an apartment. Arun's shoulder height is about 63-65cm.
