Arun on kaunis Podenco Ibicenco, joka tuli meille äärimmäisen nälkäisenä, ilman mikrochipiä, vilppikauden lopulla Espanjassa. Hänen nimensä tarkoittaa "auringonlaskua" ja "aurinkoa", ja uskomme että se kuvaa häntä täydellisesti. Tällä hetkellä Arunilla on hyvin hiljainen ja rauhallinen luontea, hän ei huutaa, hyppää, kiiruhtaa, vaan liikkuu hitaasti ja varovaisesti. Vaikka hän pelkää tilanteita, hän ei varsinaisesti pelkää ihmisiä – kun hän tuntee vapaaehtojen, hän suosii olla kosketettavana ja puhdistettavana, mutta nopeat ja kaaostuttavat liikkeet hämmennyttävät hänet. Arun seuraa helposti ihmisiä, joita hän luottaa, riippulangalla, ja nyt kun hän on liittynyt muiden kkojen ryhmään, hän alkaa avautua nopeammin. Hän pitää ympäröivästä koirista, tämä oli ensimmäinen kerta, kun näimme hänen juoksemaan ja pyyhkäisevän hännäänsä, kun hän oli yhdessä Podenco-, Mastin- ja Collie-naiskoiden kanssa, joiden kanssa hän on siirtynyt asumaan. Arun is a stunningly beautiful Podenco Ibicenco who arrived to us on the verge of starvation, without a microchip, towards the end of the horrible hunting season in Spain. His name means "dawn" and "sun", and we think this reflects him perfectly. At the moment, Arun has a very quiet and still nature, he does not bark, jump, rush, he moves slowly and cautiously. Even though he is fearful of situations, he is actually not afraid of people as such - when he already knows a volunteers, he enjoys to be touched and caressed, it is just fast, hectic movements that scare him off. Arun accompanies the people he trusts very nicely on the leash, and now that he has joined a group of other dogs, he is coming out of his shell quicker. He likes to be around other dogs, that is the first time we saw him running and wagging his tail, when he was together with a group of Podenco, Mastin & Collie girls, who he has now moved in with. For Arun we are looking for a home near the nature, not in the city, with at least one dog already in the family. We are guessing that he has never been in a traditional home before, and most likely he would appreciate a home with some safe exterior space, not entirely restricted to living indoors in an apartment. Arun's shoulder height is about 63-65cm.
