I am the sorry sister of Lili. My life hasn't been easy. Born to a private owner, I was given to a lady who lived in an apartment with another dog. Slowly, I understood and learned; from daily walks, we went to weekly walks, and then there were no more walks… we still had to go outside to relieve ourselves and stretch our legs, the balcony of the f2 and the whole apartment were available. When the volunteers from the shelter came to pick up my sister, they were shocked to see me. They asked to weigh me. They explained to my owner that there was a problem, that something had to be done, I know they had trouble sleeping at night. And then on Sunday, the phone rang several times, and surprise, they were there for me. Upon arrival at the shelter, everyone had tears in their eyes, but they bathed me. Now, I take six walks each day, and I eat four times. Yesterday, we were taken to the veterinarian who was surprised to see how fragile I was. He talked about amyotrophy, it appears I have no muscles left on my legs. He trimmed my claws, which were still too long. He validated the new dietary regimen and a visit is scheduled for next week to check my weight. If everything goes well, they will give us our vaccinations. Then they will spay us. Je suis la sœur de misère de Lili. Ma vie n’a pas été facile. Née chez un particulier, j’ai été cédée à une dame qui vivait en appartement avec un autre chien. Petit à petit j’ai compris, j’ai appris, d’une sortie quotidienne nous sommes passées à une sortie hebdomadaire, puis il n’y a plus eu la moindre sortie… il fallait bien faire nos besoins pourtant et nous dégourdir les pattes, il y avait le balcon du f2 et tout l’appartement. Lorsque les bénévoles du refuge ont pu venir chercher ma sœur, elles ont été sidérées en me voyant. Elles ont demandé à me peser. Elles ont expliqué à ma maîtresse qu’il y avait un problème, qu’il fallait faire quelque chose, je sais qu’elles ont eu du mal à dormir la nuit. Et puis dimanche le téléphone a sonné plusieurs fois et surprise, elles étaient là pour moi. Arrivée au refuge, tout le monde avait les larmes aux yeux, mais elles m’ont lavée. Maintenant, je me promène 6 fois chaque jour, et je mange 4 fois. Hier, on nous a conduit chez le vétérinaire qui était surpris de me voir si fragile. Il a parlé d’amyotrophie, il paraît que je n’ai plus du tout de muscles sur les pattes. Il a coupé mes griffes, qui étaient encore bien trop longues. Il a validé le nouveau régime alimentaire et une visite est prévue pour contrôler le poids la semaine prochaine. Si tout va bien, on nous fera nos vaccins. Ensuite on va nous stériliser.
